Having people like you on this earth is such a blessing to others. I can’t express enough just how grateful I am for the time and effort that you put into making this video. I purchased a cut kit after being unable to get my son a hair appointment in time for his first day of school. I had no choice but to try and learn to cut it myself. I have no experience whatsoever and that is a little scary because I have no room for error. I wanted to watch a few tutorials to get an idea of what needs to be done but every one that I’ve watched up until this point have been very intimidating and not some thing I felt were within my capabilities as a first timer. However, not only was your tutorial simple and precise but I can also feel comfortable using the method you have provided. I am so glad that I found this and could not go without saying Thank you. Thank you so much! The most helpful tutorial on how to cut my 8 year old son's hair! I had all the required "instruments" apart from the child friendly cover. Bin bag around his shoulders and I followed your instructions step by step!! I'm very pleased with the outcome 😁. Being 1quater African (half African), his hair tends to sit like a carpet all the way around, apart from a few beutiful curls at the front! I've managed to keep some of the curls, yet give him a proper looking hair cut 🥰👍🏾

My 3 yo absolutely refuses to get his hair cut! (Huge meltdows at the barbershop 😬) But he lets me touch his hair and trim it. I was too scared to cut his hair, but your steps and explications are so thorough and detailed that I feel confident to try it out! I used your old tutorial back in January when I wanted to save a little money. I had never cut anyone’s hair before. It was so helpful. I wanted a refresher so I found this updated one, which is even better explained. I still wish I could blend better. I don’t really get what I should be looking for and how to hold the comb for blending with the flattop. But I think I did an even better job this time overall than in the past! watched a couple other tutorials before this one, but it seems this one did the trick to get me to finally go do it on my 3yo 🤣 He was really scared for his first haircut and the barber had a really hard time with him, so I figured it would be better to do it with someone he trusts this time. He did much better! And I've blended much better than I expected! I'm going to go in for a second round tomorrow to clean it up since my clippers died and he was getting the wiggles really bad anyway 😅 although, I'd say he's passable for now! I'm just a perfectionist 😂 Thanks so much for this video! We've got 4 boys and this is going to save me a TON of money and time in the long run, and getting the little one to finally not mind haircuts is absolutely priceless!

Thank you SO much for this video!! I followed the best I could (18 month old) was a bit harder lol. I’m so happy how it turned out! I’ve been cutting his hair since his first hair cut but last time he moved so much and it was awful. Following this made it so much easier and he sat so still! Only flaw was I didn’t know what to do with his cowlick in the back and I feel like his front is uneven a bit so I just kept it spiked haha! Thank you again so much, I’ve followed so many videos and none even came close to how much this helped me! A house full of boys hair cuts at home are a huge help. Hubby still won’t let me touch his tho I’m working on it 😝

Thank you for your tutorial video!!! Love it! It was very helpful and you explained everything in detail so well! I just finished cutting my 9 years old son’s hair and it looks quite nice! Blending was challenging but once I got a hang of it, it went well. I cut it longer that his barber usually does just in case we needed room for a “repair”. I always had to beg my MIL (who's a hairdresser) to cut my son's hair and she said many times she didn't feel like it rn. Since quarantine hit I got the courage to try it because of your video and yesterday I did it for the 4th time and it finally turned out perfectly! Your video was the best! It is not too long or over complicated. You show just the right amount of content for each step to help me make sure I was doing it right without having to keep going back to it. Visuals and explanation is great. I shared my son and husband’s before and after pics on Instagram and tagged you. So many compliments and friends asking me to share your video. Looks like we ladies are going to be a jack of all trades by the end of this quarantine!

This is by far the best and easiest video on how to cut my sons hair. I have watched tons of videos and tried to follow them several times and hair cuts didn’t turn out very good. You gave clear step by step instructions and enough video to show how exactly you were doing it. Cut my sons hair today and it looks like a professional did it.

Best and most helpful video, I was able to do a very decent job thanks to you, my previous attemps with other videos were laughable, as my son's hair is very straight and he has sort of a flattened shape head. Your tips and techniques are so clear that I know exactly what to look for while cutting and I'm not just blindly doing what I think I should. Yours are the first to help me actually understand how to blend the hair. Thanks a lot!

I am watching this one more time before cutting my son's hair. My heart is in my stomach. I have never cut anyone's hair before! He hasn't had a haircut in 11 weeks. He just happened to be due for a haircut a couple of days before our area went into lockdown and we were able to get it done. Thank goodness or he'd look much worse right now. Will add an update when we're done.

Well, that was pretty terrifying, but it turned out okay. Grabbing the sections is harder than it looks. It didn't help that I don't have a chair that's a good height. Even with a box he was still lower than was comfortable for me. He also kept wiggling around, and eventually took off the towel I'd put on him. It's not as even as when I get it done professionally, but it's presentable. I don't think I'll keep cutting it myself once the hair salon reopens, but for now, it'll do.

This was great! Thank to so much. Am getting the flattop comb and detailer. I can now see that the detailer is what I was missing with my husband’s and my haircuts. That’s what they finish up with at the barber shop and I was missing it😀. New sub here
