We have created this speed build of LEGO 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block Set. This is a new release for October 1st 2021. This is a superb set. Right from the beginning the colourful pieces of the set invites you to start building. During this build, I had many features that I enjoyed, some of which included the technic used to open/close the different levels, as well as the small Yoshi behind the castle. The overall set is 7” in width/depth/height and makes for an excellent display piece. A fun hidden feature of this set that we enjoyed is the secret battle ground compartment where Mario goes up against Bowser. We also liked the piece count of this set, ending with 64 pieces, in reference to Nintendo 64.

Because I take one photo per piece it took me 3hrs first night, 5hrs second night and then 4hrs editing. Adds up but I had a lot of fun building and filming this set.

How does the top section with the castle rotate into the giant block. I've seen three speedbuilds of this now and I'm still non the wiser!

Hey @reptongeek ! So the top section flips backwards into the block. Watch the clip at 12:42, you fold the other worlds from the side in, and then you pull it backwards into the far side panel. As the top moves backwards, that back panel opens up (away from the rest of the block) to fit the top section in. Hope this helps!

What shelf are you using in the background?

@forsakenpandah I got these through ikea! The shelf itself is Galant. These specific ones you in the back, (there are two) is item number 403.651.92. The lights for them are Strömlinje, item number 903.517.05. Hope this helps! Are you decorating your LEGO room? Let me know if you need anything else, happy to help!

A solid 8? I love that there are all these little game references and I also enjoy it as a display piece. The build was also pretty colourful and brought back fun emotions of when I played the game. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this set.
