Adventure was the first ever video game to have a hidden easter egg, thats what is on the mini build. Its referenced in the film Ready Player One also.

Yep. You find the invisible dot near the start of the game, take the dot to the actual start, and you’ll find “Created by Warren Robinnet”

It wasn't the first *ever*, but the first widely known and executed one, as well as the source of the term "Easter Egg", which had not been used previously.

@@thepopculturebuff5080 The 'dot' is not near the start of the game. It's located in a inaccessible part of the Catacombs, within the Black Castle. ;) YEs, pick it up and carry it back to the Hallway underneath and to the Left of the Yellow Castle and.. you can then pass through the solid wall and yes, there is the message. ;)

Having played with this console back in the 80''s, I'm impressed with the realism of this build. The movement of the switches and joystick are next-level. Almost every aspect of the build is really cool. The hidden scene inside the console is cool but I think it would have more appeal as a side build similar to the three builds related to each game cartridge. As a display piece, this would be a great set to build and own.

It’s just awesome the realism of Lego these days. Not an Atari fan so it’s not for me, but looks so good. From across the room you’d think it’s the real thing. Love the little scene inside the console. Like you’d said Bricksie, would love an Nintendo 64 console!

I had one when it came out. The original atari carts you didn't need to blow on because they had a unique protective dust cover that the unit socket pushed out of the way when inserted!

As someone who grew up playing the Atari VCS and LEGO, I have to say this looks flawless. I cannot imagine a better LEGO version of the VCS than this. So, much kudos to the designer of this set. And it appears you can customize the pop-up diorama -- for example, using the pieces from the game scenes, to make a pop-up dio of Adventure, Asteroids or Centipede.

7:39 One '80s reference that was overlooked are the plastic boxes inside of the cabinet, under the boombox and VHS cassette. Those plastic colored boxes appear to be storage boxes that hold multiple 5.25" floppy disks, the most popular way to store/transport floppy disks in those days. I still own many myself.

First-rate set, and great review. RE the Johnny Thunder poster, my guess is that it’s meant to be an unlicensed Indiana Jones reference: JT was basically Lego’s riff on IJ, and unlike the JT sets, the original IJ movies came out at the same time as the Atari 2600’s heyday. In that scene, an IJ movie poster would be totally period-appropriate.
