7:40 I see you're struggling to get the pieces above the binoculars in place? Unless the binoculars mould has been updated that's because it's a very illegal building technique - when the binoculars piece is placed on a stud, you simply can't build on top of it. Would be very interesting to know if the mould is updated or not, because if it isn't this is really bad.

So apparently the binoculars haven't been updated. Can't believe this slipped into an official set, especially not since the same illegal technique was removed from 40448 Vintage Car. It's really damaging the pieces.

25:13 - Are there many cats in Austria? (Just light trolling, it's not a big deal, it just caught me off guard, I thought you had a headpiece that only had one ear on it and rolled back to check it... nope. It's the right piece, just at a weird angle. Not a big deal, just pointing it out for ya.) "I mean, it could be worse! My nose could be gushing blood!"

I think my biggest disappointment with the set is the penguin mini figure. His color palette doesn't match the film at all, and in general in silhouette doesn't match either. I know there is only so much you can do with a mini figure but I feel like some kind of wider belly peice would be good. I think using the lego Pinocchio head would have also helped. I think the penguin from the Lego batman movies was a better recreation of the penguin than this figure. it almost looks like the Penguin from the 2004 animated show, but even that had a distinctive hair that this figure is lacking.

You're absolutely right, but I don't think LEGO wants another Happy Meal backfire of the mid-90s. Almost like the more 'cartoony' variation of the Penguin was a form of safe censorship that was decided on in a board room somewhere.

i am curious how old are you ? i am also a big Batman fan, i'm 41. I did not played with lego since almost 30 years until i bought this set. The building part is what i always enjoyed the most and i see newer generations don enjoy it so i totally understand why this set can be boring
