Black Panther and his rival cousin, Killmonger, get into a childish tussle.
I was halfway through animating this video when the news of Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death was released. I didn’t know if I should finish the video or sit on it for a while longer to let our emotions and hearts heal from this tragic blow. But, I realized we truly never would recover from this loss and finishing this animation would be a perfect little tribute to Boseman from me. I, like many others, am in love with the character of Black Panther and Boseman’s portrayal of the King of Wakanda. His stand-alone movie was undoubtedly one of the best movie going experiences of my life! I’m shattered to even be typing this, but it was an honor to have witnessed the true embodiment of a character I thought may never be fully realized in the form of Chadwick. Of course I never personally knew him; however, he was one of those few actors in Hollywood that always seemed to be in good spirits and generous to those around him. February 16, 2021, is the three year anniversary of Black Panther’s release date which is why I’m posting this video now. I hope you all enjoy the video because, while it may be humorous, it was a cathartic experience to make.

This is amazing. I will be studying those kicks frame by frame, I don't know how you do it. Edit: I looked at the kicks frame by frame and they are amazing but the editing really stood out to me whilst looking at it so carefully. Very impressive stuff.

The editing for the black panther purple stuff whatever you call that is amazing!! Great work once again J edit: wow how did you do those 360 camera movements inside the set that’s crazy and well as the doll leg movement which are used really smoothly and look natural an not janky which is really hard to pull off.

Thank you so much! For the 360 shot I put my camera on the set with nothing holding it, animated the camera to spin around the characters, and took off any walls that got in the way of the camera. It took me about eight hours to finish, but I feel like it was all worth it. For the leg movements, I just put black clay on the legs to hold them in position.

Thanks, Lego J Bricks! I think the SFX really help sell a lot of the hits which is why the sound effects alone took me more than 10 hours to finish. Also, yes I added motion blur to the swords; however, I did want to do the same with their punches but that felt a little too much.

Thanks! I tried to give Black Panther all of the acrobatic movements and keep Killmonger’s to just hard hitting punches and kicks. It helps to give each of the characters a distinct personality.

I love every part of this. The fight motions and the camera movement, the perfectly timed jokes, the diversity of the fight moves... awesome! Thanks so incredibly much!!! How I animated the 360 shot was by placing my camera on the set itself and spinning the camera around while taking off parts of the set to make space for the camera. It took a while to do, but really is a stand out shot in the video. Thanks for watching and reading the description :)

u messed up the name. The gold black panther's name is erik killmonger. Black panther's dad is t'chaka

Correct; however, Erik Killmonger is just a cover name in the movie. His birth name that the Wakandans use is N’Jadaka which is what I have the characters in this video say. It may sound like T’chaka, but I intended it to be N’Jadaka.
