A few takeaways from this: I do like this set but I have to agree with the Camaro stickers not being prints, even the license plates and the magazine I think should have been printed but that's just my opinion. I do like the customization options this gives you with not only the color choice but convertible mode or hard top. If I were in your spot, I'd see if LEGO can send you replacement windows since getting scratched ones out of the box is never acceptable. I know the color I'd pick would be white but convertible or hard top mode would be a hard choice. Great review nonetheless Bricksie.

I also agree about the lack of printed items. As much as I like the convertible version, I think the dark red with the hard top version looks great.

So fun fact about the head lights those tiles that replace the headlamps are actually for when your headlights are off. On this body style of the Camaro it had a small panel/cover that would be able to flip from the side over and around the headlight and thats what that printed piece is representing.

I like the red stripes, when the hood is on. The white actually looks the best I think! I might have to buy the parts for the stripes in yellow, which I think would look epic!

You put the caution sticker on the radiator shroud backwards. It should be facing out not in.

Black & Grey convertible with the printed headlights is my favorite version. Never liked stickers (especially in +18 sets).

Looks like a great build and love the customization. The techniques that have been used over the years has been astounding. Yes, shame about the windshield...was hoping that the one with the Delorean was the start of a ideal QC trend. Miss when these Creator Expert (now Icons) was only one (2011-2018) or two (2019-2020) per year but, you know, LEGO is trying to increase their offerings to appeal to a larger interest base. And certainly getting more expensive in the process.

Lego seems to be aiming for more money grabs these days. They know they have wayyyy too many collectors that will literally buy any set they produce, and they are absolutely capitalizing on that.

That model looks just amazing! I wish it wasn't black though... But other than that, I'll make sure to get my hands on one. Hopefully I'll find a way to convert it to the 1970 1/2 - 1973 model, which is kind of my dream muscle car.

I thought this with the Volkswagen T2 Camper Van actually. The Technic chassis is multiple colours, for instance white Technic bricks. I get they want to not make it too difficult, but they do label it 18+. I picked up my Ford Mustang the other day and the mirrors and one of the back seats fell off! I also had a couple of missing pieces down by the windscreen but it was no biggie since the doors hide it

Fun fact the tile with the Model Team magazine is an easter egg nod to the old Model Team line from lego which they made that exact car as a real Lego Model Team set 5541 Hot Rod.

Nice video. I just bought this last week. I am also building plastic scale models and right now I am still building one. Once that is finished, I will start with this. I can't wait. 🙂 I am also maybe thinking of trying to find the Ford Mustang. But we will see. I also saw the Ferrari Daytona in the Lego store, but it was too abstract for my liking.

Hey small comment. I noticed that you have your signal stickers flipped. The instruction cover and the introduction themselves say that the signal light should be towards the back. Yours were closer to the headlights

Stickers suck, but what is worse is they are colored stickers. If they had been clear back stickers, you could build the car in any color you wanted.

i think the red is better - if you could change the interior to black the other colors would work better but overall looks like a great piece

Legitimate question... does the roof actually clip on correctly? I've got the DB5 with the same style of roof connection and it doesn't fully clip on without breaking for some reason.

Eye goes on twitch mode every time I see tiles with sticker elements. ESPECIALLY on flat tiles... Those are literally the easiest to print and they chose to go the cheap route. I honestly wish they would strive to eliminate sticker elements altogether from these 18 and older expert sets. I really like this one, but one thing that can't be replicated with Lego's is the way the arches extend backwards. But that's pretty nitpicking considering how well it replicates the look of the first gen Camaro!

Ever think they’ll make a creator expert Dodge? Like Challenger/Dart/Coronet/Charger etc. By Charger I don’t mean Fast & Furious i mean just a normal Dodge Charger. I personally would really love a Challenger

Scratch windscreen aww guess it can happen. An that's why sume parts not put in bag with sume parts so thay not get scratch. I never Sean the car wind screen with. Protective covering. That have .to pill of. Lego should do that .more so ..

Love the car but not the interior, wish they had options to change the color to a neutral color. Also the rumors I thought were to change the color of the car, not just the strip…although I do really like black. Idk, so much potential and I don’t think it’s perfect.

Why the 302 and not the 396

The z/28 was only in 302. This was in order to compete in the SCCA Trans Am racing series. This was the purpose of the z/28 package as the race required a production car with a 305 cubic in max engine size.

Jordan you must be killing my fellow Americans by saying ZED instead of ZEE. But you are just following your cousins the Brits, Aussies and Kiwis in saying ZED, instead of following your neighbors to the south who say ZEE.....LOL. 😁 I like the red stripes which go better with the interior.

It is very disappointing that it have a sticker, not a printed block. It costs 200$. Even a fake $20 lego from China comes with printed blocks instead of stickers.
