What is your favourite set here? Mine is either the Prison Island or Crooks' Hideout!

Thing I like about Lego City is it allows a ton of variety and yet doesn’t feel like you HAVE to buy them all

I absolutely love those space sets. It’s hard for me to choose one favorite, so I think all of them are my favorite.

These sets feel so much like classic LEGO City and I love it!

15:10 Man, I love your videos but those are fighting words. But watching this I realized the criminals from the various Police sets are all in the prison set as well. So maybe from a narrative standpoint they all escaped from prison and then the other sets are the crimes the pull once they get back into the city. And I'm glad someone else finally picked up on the space crystals being converted into batteries. I noticed that those purple cylinders that are the batteries are attached to most of the vehicles and some of the robots even. I think it's really cool when they do details like that. It's kind of a continuation of Power Miners.

I hope they actually make a new line like Lego city and it feels like they’re redoing some of the old sets from 2023

I hope if they continue more Batman sets that they do an Arkham Asylum set similar to the two prison island sets, kinda like that old 2006 one.

These sets for some reason are giving me classic city vibes.

There are a lot of cool bits and pieces and builds and ideas scattered throughout all of the sets, but there was no one set that screamed "must have" for me, which is great news for my wallet after the dent Lego put in it this year. I still have a tower of unbuilt sets I need to get to. As these get discounted through the year I might grab a few. I do like that there are so many smaller $10-$20 sets. That's always more digestible than multiple $50 and up sets.

As a moving parts fan, I am a fan of the Space Mech. Might be the first City set I get in a while. I like to make Lego Transformers in my spare time, they're fun.

The owl logo from the Race Car and Car Carrier Truck set could also be used for a Court of Owls headquarters. For the Court of Owls themselves, I’d get a bunch of Darth Sidious minifigs and give them all Reaper heads from Overwatch.

The police sets are just remakes of the Agents sets from 2008. I loved those sets as a kid

At 0:44 I think the 2 by 3 wanted poster is 100% included. I know lego and lego only makes stuff zoomed in if it’s in the set. 👍

That prison island is great! Honestly this is a great wave in general; I'm mainly interested in the Space sets, but those others are genuinely great.

Love how the space sets fall into this perfect gray area of being somewhat grounded, but also given a sci-fi feel that puts them more in line with the earlier space heavy-hitter themes. LOVE the command rover.

im just gonna say it cause its a pet peeve of mine being a construction worker, but its not a Steamroller! i know its whats printed on the box but c'mon, we havent used steam rollers in like 50 years. I know its a petty thing but im gonna change the stigma of it lol.

I completely understand anyone who has fatigue of mech sets. However #69428 Space Construction Mech appears to have a fair number of mixel ball joints for such a cheap set. Even if you don't like the build, this is a good set

Lego City looks better than the last years, the police prison island looks more detailed than the past police stations from 2019 to 2022, I think, Lego City is becoming like the old days.

I think having a space subtheme is genius because they aren’t taking up spots in city. And the space stuff sells so well so it makes sense for them to do

It's about time Lego made a medium-sized steamroller for a decent price, here's hoping a 5+ or 6+ cement mixer is in the cards for 2025 or 2026 so I can complete my construction vehicle fleet. The fire station is also quite nice, though I'm surprised there's only one truck in it (usually there's two), and the mobile crime lab looks good too.

I LOVE ALL the SPACE sets and just purchased them all! I think it is a great updated version of the original space sets they made when I was a kid and I just love all the new builds for this and the vehicles as well. Instead of a city like everyone else builds I will be building a planet of Space Sets.

Not having aliens in the least expensive sets is kinda lame, but it is a sales strategy. Unfortunately the bigger Space sets aren't very interesting to colect. It is a strong wave but not to me, however i like the Burger truck...

Fun fact, all of the prisoners in the Prison Island set are the featured minifigures on the wanted posters. I also spotted the officer with the dog was in the Police Training Center set last year.

I’m not gonna lie as I get older I find myself buying more Lego City sets, because I really appreciate the original creations that we don’t see in a lot of licensed sets anymore look, I remember when you get a license but it wasn’t like an episode or a scene from an existing thing it was it was a new story. I really appreciate that stuff but nowadays it’s it’s all just existing stuff and I’m not saying that that makes it worse. I’m just saying that I appreciate what it is less and what I told to be original is actually quite low I’m not too picky at all really like I really like the Ironman armour set that Everyone was shitting on I bought the €500 tower because I think that looks sick, but I really miss the DC in Marvel sets that weren’t from movies or TV Shows like there was kind of their own thing going on especially like with the movies they were bringing out in conjunctions to the set what makes no sense that they’re still making those movies but they’re not making sense to go along with them. I don’t know I had a real big conversation about this with my girlfriend obsession with making sets that coincide with like MCU movies and other movies, but I say MCU movies because they’re probably the biggest factor in what I’m noticing about this because I used to love superhero and I’m moving away from them now because I have no interest in buying a lot of MCU sets I’ll pick up maybe a few small ones over the years and then like big ones when they come out like the avengers Tower I do really appreciate the adventure is trying to be like an MCU avengers Tower and do a bunch of different things. Then do one thing I’d rather it do a bunch of different things because that seems more creative and I want that out of my superhero I really miss when we had original stuff for superheroes, but I feel like we’ve passed that age. Superhero cinema has just gotten too big and like let’s be honest it makes more money to do what they’re doing but I really like Legos non-licensed brands like Lego City I still get that creative vibe of it is a new thing entirely brand-new thing.

Where are the generic buildings? Seems like City should be changed to Specialized Forces with all the police, fire, resuce, and space stuff.
