This is the first part (captured with 3DS capture by loopy) in a what should be a complete playthrough of LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins for the Nintendo 3DS. The video includes the first 30 minutes of gameplay. This game is the prequel to LEGO City Undercover on the Wii U. Rookie cop Chase McCain is given his first few missions on the force, saving dogs, delivering donuts, and taking down Booster Strange.
This channel features instructional & highly edited video game guides, walkthroughs, speedruns and other uniquely transformative videos. I was ABSOLUTELY ADDICTED. Played it 24/7, I got most cars, completed the game multiple times, and was a MASTER! I still love the game to this day.

First played this when I was 8, I'm now almost 16 and I'm replaying this again. I don't think it's exactly an amazing game, but I'm getting a strange sense of nostalgic joy from it.

You gotta admit, they did as best they could to get it on 3DS. It may not be as good graphics or voice casting, but the fog HAD to be low. It would have worked better on Wii U, but it was nice they made it a 3DS game. It actually looks interesting. :D The first LEGO (Sort of) free-roam game on the 3DS. :)

It appears to be the same city, but since it is a prequel, parts of the city are still in development. I have only seen the Cherry Tree Hills area so far, so I can't speak about the rest of the world yet.

I haven't beaten it yet or anything, but it has been a lot of fun so far. I'd say a solid 8/10, but I'm a LEGO fan. I guess some people might not like it as much if they don't like this style of game.

I don't care if it's underrated, I LOVE the game a lot, despite you can't replay the mission, it's still an amazing Lego game to play, where you unlock new areas here, and explore them more, for fun!

+MrAsterZero The Wii U version had a few people talking in the background, but that was it. Oh and voice cast. :) But yeah, it is silent in the 3DS version. I'm guessing it would have filled the 3DS memory up a lot.

When you drive vehicles there is music that plays, but during gameplay there is no voice acting. Characters do occasionally make sound, but not talking. There is voice acting during the cut scenes, but those are generally pretty short.

The 3DS isn't an HD console and with the way that I'm capturing this through an internal capture card, having the video option of 720p isn't going to really change the quality.

If you haven't played the Wii U version I'd recommend it because on it's own, it's not a bad game. It just pales in comparison to the superior Wii U version.

I'll let you know more as I get further into it. I doubt the game will be as good as the Wii U version simply due to some limitations in the 3DS software, but the game can hopefully stand up well on it's own.

I remember playing this game in 2013-2014-2015 on my Aqua blue Nintendo 3ds... The graphics were really good for a portable console like the 3ds... I had so much fun of this game... I remember posting screenshots on Miiverse... I need to take a time machine and travel back to my childhood.

This a punch to the face nostalgia, because when I first got my 3ds I had this game, I lost it when I was at a party, but I was pretty young so I would leave stuff behind But this was with a few game I had which were new super Mario bros 2, lego city, lego ninja shadow of ronin I don’t remember the other games but I can say what a time to be alive, side note ima try to buy the game, but knowing it is not gonna be in any store like game stop but ima try my best to find the game and relive my childhood memories

I haven't played a 3DS game yet where the graphics didn't look pretty jaggy to me. I wish it it had a higher resolution screen, but I guess you just need to live with it. Personally, I don't own an XL yet so I can't say how it looks on that one, but it looks fairly decent on a normal 3DS.

I played the wii u version. It amazes me how they made it open world on the 3ds too. A 3ds!! Sure there's clouds but it's amazing how they did a lot on a handheld device.
