While I am not really into the whole pirate genre, this is an excellent set and you did a great job reviewing it yet again.

"Maybe the guvnor went rogue" lol this cracked me up. This CREATOR 3in1 is pretty awesome. Just to be able to buy a LEGO pirate ship nowdays is amazing, but this specific design is really appealing! The tavern alternative build looks good too, but I'm not too fond of the pirate island alternative, at least not in its current design, especially compared to vintage pirate islands sets. Thanks for the review, keep them coming!

I actually picked this up on your suggestion and I don't regret it. It's highly detailed and I love the brick-built hull. The sails also look great, they delve into some abstraction but I think it's not too much given the materials they have to work with, I always found cloth sails a little discordant with Lego, though I left the big tiled skull off the sail because I think it's unrealistic. It definitely has compromises, specifically the ships wheel and the mermaid, but you can enhance those if you are inclined. I also replaced the sharks eyes with plain black round plates to be a little less cartoony and I think it's an improvement, part of sharks' character are those beady eyes. I am really amazed by the sculpting of the hull and rails. It's a great balance of simplicity and detail, really impressed with this. I also appreciate it isn't a behemoth because I have a small living space. One note about your build, I noticed you left off a piece on the pirate flag at the rear of the ship, there's a black semi-circular tile on the modified plate that makes a great abstract skull. Anchors aweigh!

Overall I'm glad you enjoy the set Tie and I feel you were very fair with your review. I agree it should have come with two more cannons and I would have liked to have seen at least one more pirate mini fig.

I like this set a lot, but I did mod it. I made sails from cloth (first attempt wasn't a success, but 2nd one looks quite good) and made a lot of changes to the ship itself. But the real question is: Are those weapons real or for decoration only? Do you practice sword fighting or fencing?

I love this set and look forward to the new Creator Castle set! I love how Lego is doing this, in 3in1 creator line

With the 40515 pirates and treasure VIP add on pack you can improve the ship quite a bit like give it pirate flags and more treasure like actual gold ingots etc. Thanks for the review Tie, always love your vids.

I added doors to my cabin from a castle set. Also added a ladder, stove & Castle flags at the top of the masts instead of the brick ones.

I did mods to it so it can become a imperial flagship. What I did was take away the pirate flags and add the imperial ones then I just did not build the skull on the sail. I also added real stairs to the bridge I also took away the rubber string things.

I love pirates with a passion especially the old 90s pirates but I don't like the brick build flags I like the cloth and I want a bigger one when they bring a pirate theme back, they have to at some point.

Nice review, but you looked tired. Hard day at work? I don't have this set yet, but I'm going to buy it soon. I didn't like the sails at first, but I think it's great that you can adjust them to your liking. Instead of a skull on sails, you can create any picture you want, which is great for people like me who can't draw. Are you going to build the other two alternative models of this set?

The Ship itself is pretty cool. I think due to it being a creator 3in1 set with awesome alternate builds it gets away with a lot of things (like not having the pre-moulded pirate ship pieces). Also the alternate models add the 90s feeling to the set. Unfortunally though, I'm really not a fan of the way the sails look. It's unfortunate, because I really wanna like this ship. :-(

To me this one looks very childish. Not as cool as the old ones...
