The gold goal hoops are indeed a new color for part 4185 (also known as 70162), the tire for 24mm narrow Technic pulleys.

JANGBRiCKS the rubbery ring pieces used to be tires for a technic brick... idk how to describe it aside from it having 6 pinholes in a hexagonal arrangement and an axle hole in the middle... it once was used in the ninjago skeleton bike from the first wave way back when...

Now that would be something, sort of like a mini-figures and accessories pack? You are right LEGO has done that for Police, Firefighters and for the Lion and Dragon Knights for the Castle Theme, and then they did it for the pirates too. I also think if they do, do something like that, they should have some clear pole pieces to mimic them flying.

I think Lego should make character packs for the Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin Quidditch teams. That way people can swap out teams and such if they have this set or if they just want the minifigs/broomsticks.

They should make a second set that comes with ravenclaw and hufflepuff minifigs. I know It's not relevant to the movies, but it would be nice to get a second side of the field as well as be able to play matches between any of the houses.

I would've been fine if they only had two sets of robes for each team, no heads or characters needed (though they would be nice), just robes, and maybe some accessories for the four extra minifigs that you could make.

Wouldn't it be cool if Lego released an expansion pack for this set? The expansion pack could include an extra set of goal-posts, more of those Bludger-shooters, and two players each from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Alternatively, Lego could make an Ultimate Collectors' Series version of the Quidditch pitch, with all the film-accurate details, places for the spectators to sit, all four teams (seven players each), many more towers, more action features, and basically everything this set has, but bigger and better!

I just picked up this set from Tesco for £25 and it has only been out for 6 days. Should be £35 and it wasn't even on sale so if you live in the UK and you want to get this set, pick it up from Tesco 👍

I think that they should release 2 hufflepuff and 2 raven claw players so that you can change who is playing. They could do this by releasing them in a pack like they did with the minecraft skins.

I like this as a play set. But what would have been a cool (but propably expensive) idea, was to make a seperate set for each team. Each set would inclode a tower and a bunch of figures from that team.... that would be more aimed towards collectors, as this will apeal to a broader audience, but still

The Big Ben Theory Honestly, they could still do this. Create a 7-pack minifigure set for around $15-$20 that has an entire quidditch team for each house. They could use an older version of Harry for Gryffindor and have Fred and George. It would also be a way to get really obscure characters, like Lucian Bole in this set. They could either do a specific year's team or an all star team for each house with the most popular characters for each house's position. Market it like a battle pack and I'm sure it would sell, especially if they'd throw in a chest with a quaffle, bludgers, and snitch.

I think the thing I love most is the customization possible with the characters. With no names on the players' uniforms and the gender neutral torso for Hermione it makes it super easy to create unique people.

WELCOME TO QUIDDITCH! The Quidditch pitch has 3 goals at each end. The chasers throw the quaffle and throw it through the hoops to score Watch out for the bludgers! These are charmed ball that can knock you off your broomstick 2 beaters on each team try to keep them away Griffindor's team seeker is Harry Potter! It's is job to find and catch the golden snitch.

Aside from my being a huge Harry Potter fan, I really appreciate the diversity and volume of colors and pieces in general that come with this set, especially those 2x2x1 bricks. Even for LEGO fans not particularly interested in Harry Potter there is still a great value to be had.

Yeah I'm desperately looking forward to getting back to MOCs, but have to prioritize the reviews as those are what most viewers want, and they have to be done quickly. I've done some alternate builds in the past, but when I have the free time I prefer to work on full-on customs that will be used in my city long-term.

Honestly I love that they are making new sets.... however they keep going back and forth on wether they want to stick to one year per set- and then spanning multiple years in another, if they want to put in as many Easter eggs as possible, don’t make some sets only a certain year. Obviously sets like the Knight bus that are only featured in one book can be set to one year but sets like the castle itself should contain several references. sidenote- I hope they release a shrieking shack, (a more realistic) burrow, and some goblet of Fire challenge sets.

I have a proposal for a second set based around quidditch. Include the same amount of towers with the missing other goal posts, the announcer kid and the quidditch teacher. Also include the two other teams represented by two uniforms each. It would include the same amount of figures and a near identical build, but I think we need it.

I'm definitly considering buying 2 of this set. Sure you'd get some things that are unnecessary repeats, but overall it wouldn't be bad at all to have 2 of each tower and the second set of goals. It would make for a decent looking full pitch.

I had that idea for a Lego set that had the full stadium with all twenty eight players, Madame Hooch, and a handful of students from each house as well as some staff members (maybe Dumbledore and the Heads of each House). The actual stadium would feature two sets of goal posts, sections for students of each house to sit in, and a section for the staff and match commentator (Lee Jordan is the most likely choice). Sadly, a set like this would be expensive as hell and unlikely to be made due to its price making it impractical for a large percentage of Lego's customers. Maybe it will be made one day though.

Ugh!! We haven’t gotten a Ravenclaw student in ANY of the new sets! I can’t make a minifig of myself! Edit: Also I’m sad how Revanclaw is so unpopular. Gryffindor has Harry, Ron, and Hermione, Slytherin has VOLDEMORT, Hufflepuff has Newt, and what does Ravenclaw get? A crazy girl and an over emotional girl the breaks up with Harry. Ugh.

I;m hoping they release a second Quidditch goal set in the future with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw players. It be nice. Maybe base it off the one of the later movies like Chamber of Secrets to have a Dobby in the background, controlling the bludger. Or Prisoner of Azkaban to have a Dementor near by.

Why aren't there Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw uniforms if they took the time to add those team markers? Also, why are the Ravenclaw colors here blue and silver? In the books, the Ravenclaw colors are blue and bronze (and the animal symbol is an eagle, not a raven)

Not really. Harry Potter sets have been around since the early 2000s, and not one of them has been based off the books. And honestly, why would they be? LEGO already has the movies to use as a reference to base designs after, why would they waste time scavenging the books for set descriptions?

If they made the other side (including hoops and all) it would cost more for sure. I like Lego gives you the option to by one set at a reasonable price or by two making it one big set.

I can't believe you have bought and made these sets so quickly but I had faith that you would! :D Always like to see what you think before we buy. I love how this set looks. I am biased to it all tbh,being a Brit. :D

I prefer Raven Claw but my Brother ,Mom, Grandma, and Grandma love GriffinDoor. My dad doesn't care much but for him it is Slitherin

My fave house is Slytherin, I'm in Ravenclaw, My mom's a Hufflepuff and My dad doesn't like Harry Potter.

Hate to be "that person" but you built this a tiny bit wrong; the middle hoop is supposed to use the 4L pole, not a 3L one; this makes all three hoops a distinctly different height as they appear in the films.
