Good to have a review of the trip. The series of videos showing what went on made for a good watch. Iain was very sensible to book a hold bag and bring materials to protect his purchases. Ryanair and airlines generally can be very sniffy on bags so turning up at the gate with multiple bags could end in a real pickle. Glad that the prized purchases made it home safely. Thank you.

Thanks. I am always very cautious when it comes to baggage and airlines, however next time I would probably just bring all my sets on the aircraft, especially if I went out of season again.

Terrific video Iain because it was so informative. Really had no idea that Bilund in a day was doable. I dare say you’ve inspired many with this video. Regarding Ryanair and luggage. Out of season they are definitely more relaxed.

Yes, we are lucky that Denmark is relatively close to the UK and served well by flights. Hopefully one day you will be able to arrange a trip over.

Ryanair own Malta Air as well as Lauda and Buzz, and great explanation for your experience of the whole trip

Ah, that makes a bit more sense now with regards to Malta Air.
@caitlinlangford85624 ай бұрын
Ryanair also owns Malta air, Buzz air, and Lauda - they’re all one company effectively so booking with Ryanair it may sometimes say that you’ll be flying with one of the other branches of Ryanair 😅

Hi Iain, love the content and videos of your hauls and travels. When you do go for your brickshows, what do you use to label what you sell? Is it a fixed template on a label machine or something else? Been trying to label up my stuff (especially minifigs to sell) with key information using sticky labels, but just curious what you use?
@iainsbricks4 ай бұрын
I use Microsoft word and 3x7 a4 label sheets

Great video and fantastic information re trip. I've never been to legoland but wanted to for years. The closest to me would be Edinburgh and flights significantly higher than Stansted. How many pirates do you think could get on plane home in a rucksack and handheld, 4? 5?
@iainsbricks4 ай бұрын
My travel buddy Duncan got 2 sets in his rucksack and another 2 sets he just had in a Lego bag.

Doing the same trip with my lad the at the end of April. Got flights for same. But have booked seats to make sure he's not on his own. Didn't know about the spending limits. Hopefully, I can use his allowance too. Great review

Excellent. Maybe just check on HMRC website if you can get the same personal allowance for someone under 18.

@iainsbricks good job. You said check, no allowance for under 18. Looks like just £390 of Lego, then. Thanks for the heads up .Could have been an expensive mistake

I’m going next week from Manchester and pretty much doing the same thing except we’re stopping over. So have booked in at the lodge for £68 but flights were £50 there and back parking at port was more tha. The flight lol. Going with free luggage coming back with paid for cabin hopefully it will fit 3 pirates and the new set

Excellent. Hope you have a good trip. You should be OK going back with any extra sets in a Lego bag as most people on my flight back did just that.

@iainsbricks I did find out it is best to pay in cash though. You get a discount on the sets at the airport but they charge a card surcharge so I lost some back there. I think it worked out around 220 instead of 260 for the set.
