I'm just bummed about how out of all the Marvel characters who got Mech sets, none of them are Peni Parker.

I’m fine with the mechs as long as we keep getting the “Daily Bugle” level sets and CMFs to appeal to the AFOLs. Proper modular sets like the Sanctum Santorum and Avenger’s Tower make sense. I also think producing more of the small, detailed scene dioramas like the New Asgard would be great. An 18+ Ironman garage diorama or GOTG / The Collector Scene diorama (we need this minifig!) are examples that come to mind. Dioramas could also extend to mimic the Star Wars Duels sets with smaller, iconic scenes. Lastly, a limited Marvel Architecture Series would be big sellers for AFOLs and non traditional LEGO fans. Think of having a smaller Avengers Tower similar to the Architecture Empire State Building set or an Avenger’s compound similar to the White House set. These work well for someone like myself who has limited shelf space in my home office.

I’ve been saying for years that I prefer location-based sets compared to any other type of sets. How many Landspeeders, Mechs, and cars do we really need? 😩 Great video!

I’m 16 and I love lego mechs, sure they can be a bit repetitive but the robot suits look so cool

I'm a middle aged mom and I wasn't too interested in the mechs till I got one. I love marvel and I find them to be fun little builds and I can't wait for wolverine. I have only gotten the small ones though so I can o ly speak for them.

Lego needs an in-house mech theme. As 1 of the like 8 people above the age of 12 apparently who like mech sets I don’t think arishem, molten man and brick built iron man should be counted as mechs since a minifig can’t slot in them which is what makes a mech a mech. If they were to shake it up hopefully we will get a small 10$ location build. Cause marvel does not need its own micro fighters

I'm over 12 and I just bought some old exo-force mechs recently; I quite enjoyed them! I feel like the reason we're 'drowning' in mechs is because they've lost their original charm that made them unique in the first place.

Imagine battle packs, but for other themes than Star Wars (Shield agents, Centaurs, Joker goons, Death eaters, Chitauri). I know Star Wars is the main sales power house behind this kind of thing for Lego, but with ten years of Super heroes, I think it would be cool.

I’m 27 and I enjoy the mechs, they’re very pose-able for toy and figure photographers. I enjoy them bc it’s saves me from buying marvel legend figures. They’re very similar in my opinion

I understand why they do mechs every year. They can make them without the movies or comics driving their development. Kind of like the batcaves and batmobiles

As for the $10 mech sets, I consider them as the Marvel equivalent of SW Battle Pack sets. They are cheap, have builds that are not accurate, fun to play as a child, and for adults they are an easy way to get a pretty cool minifig. (And because I'm a 24-year-old man-child, I pretty much enjoy posing these $10 mechs.) The only sad thing about the mech line is that its somewhat repetitive, and is lacking villains. (I was really hoping for a $10 Loki mech cause we had a Thor mech in Jan. 2021, and we had a Loki D+ show in June.) Besides those mechs, the only Marvel mech sets that I like are AoU Hulkbuster, IW Hulkbuster, and Arishem. The others are meh. Overall, we need more playsets rather than mechs and vehicles.

I have some food for thought: Maybe they include the mechs so that they could be more kid oriented and less adult? It's like why they put robots in the Japanese Spider-Man in the 616 episode.

I agree the current volume of mechs is kind of overwhelming, but given that Across the Spider-Verse seems like it will have a lot of cool new Marvel environments, I think more of the new sets will be locations and maybe some vehicles (although sometimes Spider-Man themed vehicles don't work too well so maybe not so many of those), so it's understandable that Lego would want to get all the mech designs released at once so that the new Spider-Verse sets kind of get their own wave

I’m 26 and I love the mechs that I’ve purchased so far and cannot wait for the Wolverine/Black Panther/Iron Man ones coming, but watching this, I do understand why it’s too much. I can definitely agree that buildings are very fun, I love the Avengers tower and would love to get the Daily Bugle, but any way I’ll be able to get the Fantastic 4 in the future I’m participating lol

Bro Thor’s New Asgaurd is one of my favorite Marvel sets because of the size and level of detail. I would love to see Lego do more of those vignette/ diorama inspired sets from different locations across the MCU. A Peter Parker’s bedroom set on that same platform would be amazing.

Lego loves making mechs. It’s only a matter of time before they make them for Star Wars and friends. But if they could at least do something other than Ironman and Spider-Man that would be progress.

Unpopular opinion but my favorite mech was the Thanos one because I used the figures parts for my sig fig for a while so sentimental value.

I own a lot of mechs and love pretty much all of them, the only important thing to note is that exactly 0% of my mechs are Marvel. My first mechs were Exo-Force and I love them! They feel so battle ready and even since I was young I loved to pose them! Each on had these amazing exclusive weapons too, no 2 mechs ever felt the same! I also have a bunch of mechs from Ninjago and those things are behemoths! The tower over my Eco-Force collection in both hight and width! They are so solid and unique every single one of them! I'm constantly blown away by how good Lego makes them look year after year and it seems like each year they look to see how much bigger they can make each mech! Even my smaller Ninjago mechs are really solid. They are short but easy to pose and throughly robust! It's very satisfying to move the little mechs however how you want and you can pick them up for easy transportation. So Lego mechs themselves don't seem to be a problem at a conceptual level. If I were to hazard a guess as to why the Marvel mechs aren't as popular I'd say that perhaps they are too repressive and uonoringal. I saw like 5 Lego Hulk Busters in this set alone and none of them seemed that different from each other (except for the UCS). And the shape and weapons of these mech look really boring compared to the Ninjago and even Exo-Force mechs. I also going to tentatively say that maybe the Marvel mechs are not as well received because mechs were never what made Marvel popular. They are simply not part of Marvel's identity the way they are part of Eco-Force and Ninjago. Like I've already established that I like mechs but I probably wouldn't like it if Star Wars made a mech since that goes against the identity of the Star Wars brand. It could be the same for Marvel.

Yeah, we have been getting plenty of mechs, but then again, without the mechs, we most likely would never have seen Wolverine again and wouldn't have gotten one of the most comic accurate Captain America suit

Yes, my son (Age 4) Loves the Mech's. They are his favorite. BUT, we only get the 3 that come out at the start of the year as they are cheapish.

I agree fully (Lord knows I'm pissed that the only X Men representation we've had in years is a dumbass Wolverine mech, which, if you think Spider-Man having vehicles and mechs is dumb, is a whole other level), but I think you ignored in your video that the mechs are the perfect entry-level sets for children, at the lowest possible price. You mentioned large-scale playsets like the Bugle or the Sanctum, but not everyone can afford those, especially not parents looking to buy a cheap toy for their children. Not only that, but things like the Bugle are a once-and-done type deal. The mechs, much like Star Wars battle-packs (and I'm suspecting the Harry Potter books as well) is something cheap and clearly successful that can be reliably produced every year. Throw in a great minifigure and you've got both the collectors buying your product as well as the kids who want to play make-believe with their favorite heroes. It makes total sense from a business perspective, especially considering the wealth of Marvel characters that could be shoved into a mech, and the strangest thing about them is how they didn't think of them like, two years into the theme. Where I draw the line is with regular stupid-ass playsets like the Spidey-Doc Ock one, which could have easily been replaced by a similarly priced Doc Ock bank robbery or something, or, worse yet, that dumbass buildable Iron Man that's meant to entice both children and collectors (and probably old Bionicle fans as well) but it's way too big for an action figure, and too meh for a display piece.

Its so weird that spiderman has more vehicle sets when he is like the main hero who would benefit from having set pieces for him to like swing on and stuff. The rami Spider-Man sets had some cool set pieces. It also means that kids can get a play set and older fans can get a better display thing than a spiderman themed van

love the mechs! re color or inspired by previous models even knew original designs ... any of them are welcome i love it. those green and red mechs from what if were based off of the underwater 3 in 1 mech. i have them all displayyed together

More vehicles and location area sets would be great. Fight scene type environments, perhaps items like the lab in the carrier but in a "friends coffee shop" grade of quality. I agree too many mecha and I don't really want to collect them.

I tend to not complain too much about Mechs, because I don't really care about Marvel or Ninjago or the other themes that include mechs. However I will say this: While I can put them aside as "well they're not for me, but the fans will probably love them" I feel like there are so many of them, while the themes that I love don't get any sets most of the time at all. I was really happy about the Blacksmith Shop and the Castle in the Forest that came out in 2021, but for the most part, historic themes run pretty thin on sets these days...

I think they are trying to make their own "action figures", but out of Lego. These are not made for you, they're made for kids

The original Hulkbuster from set 76031 is still my favourite too. With the £9 mech sets, I bought most of them them only for the minifigures as many of them were unique or because it was the most convenient/least expensive way to collect them. Though it's way oversized, I liked the Iron Monger build though it was a little disappointing that there are two mechs in the What If? sets. I'd rather have seen set 76194 delayed with a non-mech taking its place. Your suggestions were all interesting.

I am considering starting to get into the marvel line, I've been looking at the mechs for the minifigs, and having the mech parts to just start my lego parts collection, something I want to eventually do.

My favorite mech ever was the Infinity War Hulk Buster not just because it was a good set but also because that set, and that whole wave in general I have amazing memories with. I remember buying all the Infinity War sets right before the movie came out and building with my family and friends.

I don't mind most of the mechs except the random little ones like the black panther one. The iron monger at least is an iconic movie character.

I plan on getting all three new mechs I also plan on making the black panther one into a giant rideable panther robot with the pieces from the set so T'Challa has a brick built panther.

With so many mechs and mech style figures across Superheroes, Ninjago, Monkey kid it is hard to sort out the best. There are tons to choose from yet only like 10 that I like. I feel like having so many to choose from makes the hunt for the good ones a little more exciting like when I discovered the mech style figure Voltron. Chubbybots KZfaq channel makes me have hope for mechs.

I love the Marvel mechs and i'm nearly 18 i just find them so much fun to customise and the figures are awesome i think it's purely cause of the fact i own a lot of Mixel joints because i had nearly every mixel and i can build the mechs to be similar by filling in the torso gaps but the give them character by just building them to the characters attributes like Doc Ock smart, strong but also mobile so i just beefed up the Tenacles and legs to keep balance but keeping the Arms wimpy and for Captain America I just made it taller and didn't add much armour because Cap has enough defence with the shield. The Hulkbuster style mechs i can understand a bit more but are more victims of circumstance due to What If being more character driven the only two icon sort of vehicles were the Sakkarian Iron Man and the Hydra Stomper and then the Iron Monger is a cool way of getting stuff from the first iron man whilst being iconic

I’m 12 and as targeted to younger kids the mechs are, I find them quite fun to build and make stopmotions for. They’re a nice break from bigger sets that I usually build (I’m currently building the new sanctum) and there are some heroes I’d love to see in these mechs

I think they should make some more Infinity Saga retro sets. A set that I think would be insanely awesome is the Lemurian Star SHIELD satellite launch ship from CA:TWS. Let's say 800 pieces for 90-100€. 10 Figures: Stealth Suit Cap, TWS Black Widow, Georges Batroc, Jasper Sitwell, Brock Rumlow, 3x Mercenary, 2x ship crew.

What I like about the cheap mechs is that it's a good opportunity to get minifigures that would be otherwise inaccessible to kids, like the Miles Morales with the hoodie (I'm still upset that they put that particular version in the Daily Bugle set), or seemingly exclusive figures, like Captain America, Wolverine (if we do get him), Thanos as a regular minifigure (originally), or the previously mentioned Miles minifigure (originally). What I'm saying is that it's a good opportunity to have good minifigure exclusives, and Lego could do better with that mentality.

The thing bout it is, they had a successful mech like line going, Hero factory and Bionicle, but they never tried to do more and instead of renewing the lines they just bagged it and tossed their CCBS system into other lines.

I got the Hydra Stomper set mostly for the Captain Carter minifig. Haven't built it yet! But, I'm sure my 7yo will love playing with it.

If Lego wants to keep making mechs they should do a combiner like Voltron or the Ninjago Megazord: - Ironman's red Hulkbuster (body) - Hawkeye's purple Quinjet (jetpack) - Hulk's Gammabomb/green rocket (arm) - Thor's grey viking boat (arm) - Captain America's blue motorcycle (leg) - Black Widow's black jeep (leg) Who cares if an Avengers-zord isn't comic accurate, it gives unique vehicles who becomes a mech.

We actually got avengers mechs before 2012 also, they were buildable bionicle character mechs. There was cap, hulk, and iron man. These were from 2009

I got the Hydra Stomper mainly because it was rare and was only available at that one store I was in at the time. I am tempted to look at the Iron Monger and the other What If set but i feel I shouldn't. Nothing wrong with the Hydra Stomper, I really like it but I do think the mechs are too similar. I don't count Arishem and the Deviants as mechs like some might but they are unique, challenging builds.

My favorite mech is the Venom one, but only because you could very easlily just say its just an absolutly monstorous Venom lol. I have all the Venom/Carnage stuff set up with the Spiderman Bridge Battle set a a homage of sorts to the Absolute Carnage/King in Black comic series.

Hey holly, Not sure If anyone said this, but I believe you may have forgotten a mech from your list of all the marvel mechs: The Rhino mech came out in 2015. Under the banner of one of the spiderman animated shows, it took key details from the amazing Spider-Man 2 version, where he drives a robot suit. It appeared as a side build in the rhino and sandman team up set. Just fyi, m8. Also, pretty good points in the vid. I do love a number of the mechs we've gotten like the Detroit steel mech and the iron monger, and the 2020 hulk buster has started to grow on me as well. However, since when did venom, miles morales, and Thor EVER need or use a mech? It's not in their character. I don't mind mechs (though I don't want an over saturation of them either), but I want them to match the character it's for. There are plenty of marvel characters I could see getting mechs should Lego ever make them since it would be part of their character. Examples would be whiplash (iron man 2 version), titanium man, crimson dynamo, Firepower, Iron Cross, etc. They don't even have to be true mechs, but like robots ( like a Spider-slayer). Better, give henchmen characters mechs to make them more of a threat and for a kid to have more fun reenacting battles (the poor aim agent should've gotten a small mech instead of a sniper in the 2020 hulk buster haha). Just my two cents 😉.

The Ninjago line has a TON of mechs too, cause they're in the show and books as well. I'm guessing the popularity of those is spilling into the superhero line as well.

Some mechs make sence, iron monger, hydra stomper, hulk buster and hulk buster mark 2, yes some are oversized but they make sence, but captain america is a super soldier, he dosent need a mech, same with wolverine, thanos and spiderman. Black panther mech is in the middle but it's not included

I wanted to combine the first wave spider mech and the dock ock duel pack spider mech to make a better more spider based one.

My favorite mech would probably be the original age of ultron one too. I had a friend who had it and I was so jealous

The mech I want the most is a buildable Galactus and Silver Surfer minifigure. Do it like "In Arishem Shadow."

They need to use the mechs to release at least 1 odd character that they may not know where else to fit in. Punisher, Deadpool, Japanese Spiderman, Magneto, Stiltman.

I do like that they finally brought out the big bad from iron man 1, but they made him look a little to big.

Thy're mechs and feature great Marvel Minifigs. What's there not to like?

I love the mechs, and when you think about it, for the $10 dollars price point, you cant really get something else thats better. The super hero themes pillar are the characters, not the vehicles, not the locations, but the characters. So barring having a $10 set w 2 or 3 named hero minifigures, a mech that looks like the brickbuilt heroes themselves, cant really be beat, a good alternative to getting regular action figures of the characters.

I keep hoping that this mechs are some kind of battle pack against gallactus, and one day we're going to get a Lego buildable Gallactus

I don’t really get many mechs. I’ve gotten a few ninjago ones but none for marvel yet. Think I’m gonna get the miles morales one soon, for the figure. But my favorite one is the sakaarian iron man, I love the colors. Will get that one later this year.

I'm 21 and I love lego marvel mechs. In 2021 I bought Iron Monger, Hydra Stopmer, Miles Morales mech, Iron Man Armory which also has a minimech, and more. I really like lego mechs, lego has a lot of parts that seem for me like specifically designed for mechs, and I think lego is doing a really good job selling more of these. However, what can I say bad about these mechs is the fact that in my opinion most of them is not great. I mean they are pretty well designed, but not as good as I think they could be. It's not really a problem for me tho, because I love to customize them bym myself, and "upgrade" them. By now I customized most of marvel mechs that I bought, and I had a lot of fun duing it. I think now they are really awesome, much more accurete to the movies, and shows, or just look better. So yeah, I think wave of lego marvel mechs is a really great idea, it gives me a lot of fun. I also plan to try doing some time-laps lego movies with my friend, and I think lego mechs are perfect for something like that ^^ EDIT: Ahh, and I forgot that my closest 21yo friend also loves marvel mechs, and buys them for himself, then we can compare how our versions differ. EDIT2: I just got to the part with Igor mech and I had to answer "Who wants him?". I do :) I really, really wanted this mech. I wasn't really satisfied when I finally got him, so I reconstucted him from scratch, and now it's one of my favourite mechs, and favourite builds in general

Lego fans love mechs, and Lego tends to have a mech line always on the market (exo force, bionicle, hero factory) since nexo knight’s didn’t work for brick built mechs I think they’re trying to have marvel and ninjago sort of fill that market space. Side note I love some of the small mech sets but not all, really looking forward to iron man and wolverine

the only marvel mech i got is first small hulk buster from age of ultron set, otherwise only other good mech is ucs type hulk buster set as other mechs by marvel are junk mostly play feature or display wise (though do own war monger mech also but only as display) though theme's like monkie kid and ninjago are better (for the bigger mech sets)

Hi, I'm 13 but I only like some mechs based on mcu other than that I've noticed that they are REALLY oversized like the hulk buster isn't even the size of hulk, at first i liked the sakaarian iron man until i saw it appear in what if and I thought lego should make a big fig body mold for the bigger iron man suits like the iron monger, the hulk buster or the hydra stomper
