Id rather they focus on the castle itself with this build. Save grond, the siege towers, and oliphaunts for small mass release sets. Have twelve or so Gondor knights, Gandalf, pippin, denethor and faramir. And the coronation version of Aragorn and Arwen with some civilians. And The witch King of course. I’d prefer not to have a full interior. Just the kings hall at the top. A connected road through the main levels with gates would be really cool so you could have an orc army storming up the side and the defenders coming from the top. Gonna be like 800$

A more realistic decision would be a micro scale build of Minas Tirith and then mini figure set scale parts of Tirith.

I agree. I think the best way to build Minas Tirith in Lego is to make it micro scale but be able to still have rooms inside that can recreate scenes from the movies. Part of me wonders if Lego will opt to create half of the structure too similar to Barad Dur.

I hate these giant sets. I would prefer if they split Minas Tirith into like 6 sets, each giving you different elements of the city, so you could collect and assemble Minas Tirith (like they did with Helm's Deep and the seperate wall section set). Mumakil, Gronde, and the Siege Towers should all have their own sets.

They’re not going to make a $1,000 Minis Tirith set. That would just be a ridiculously large and expensive set. I have every LOTR/Hobbit set old and new. No one needs a $1,000 LOTR set. I’d just make the top of minis tirith with the white tree and Denethors throne room.

@@VRitasium I would too and hope my wife doesn’t kill me - but they won’t make it. Frankly a new Helm’s Deep would a better large play set. I can see a full Minis Tirith mostly as a large Architecture-type set. Or like the big Hogwarts castle- with micro figures
