As a kid with Exo-Force and even as an adult, I love when Lego includes the mech access scaffolding. Super fun to pose or have edgy minifigs fight over who gets to pilot it.

I have the Ninjago Dawn of Iron Doom, and I posed it with the pilots jumping into the mech and it makes for a very nice scene

I love to see a mech that's more posable than ever. Yet I also feel we're still far from what an action figure could do, which ultimately is what I'd expect from these... The scaffolding might be bare bones for some, but to me it's perfect, I just love _the idea_ of a mech hangar bay, and this is definitely enough. I didn't expect the mechanic robots, that's also a welcome addition.

The scaffolding fits PERFECTLY with the custom ones I've made for the exo-force mechs I have, so I'm very happy they included it. The little robo-figures are very nice too! Only issue is the tail feels very unnecessary and tacked on, luckily it's easy to remove (it does make the back look a little odd but it's not a major issue.)

Agreed, the addition of the scaffolding really completes the set! Reminds me of Sentai Fortress, one of my favorite sets!

Amazon had the exclusive rights to the first waves of the sets. Then that ended and no one seemed to pick it up so now LEGO seems to be the only ones carrying the theme. I think that's why no one seems to care about the theme, plus the pricing doesn't help.

This particular set feels/looks the most Exo-Force any Lego mech has been since Exo-Force to me. Looks amazing!! Definitely going to have to grab it, and glad to see all the extra features like the modular parts from the scooter(?) and bending knees *and* toes! One thing I wish it had (that I might have to mod in) is using those boosters, perhaps on the back.

It’s good looking mech. I really like the maintenance bay or structure. I think that’s really cool. It would have been neat to have some sort of hoses or connections that could be made from the beach to the maintenance structure to show maybe fuel or fluids being replenished or maybe nano particles being added to repair the structure. I also agree the small bots are really neat and I’m thinking 6 minions would feel better with this set.

There's a lot of good in the Monkie Kid line. Big complex mechs will always be cool, regardless of theme. As always, though, most of us can't buy every Lego set we want because of the price and the space they take up in our homes. I want this one but it's competing with a lot of great stuff right now. Maybe a sale somewhere down the road will entice me to pick it up. Anywhozle, great video as always Jang.

I feel like you could easily get the arm mobility you want by just flipping the joints around. Have the spinny part up top, and the hinge below. You dont really need forearm rotation as much as you want a swivel at the elbow.

I have a few MK sets and this one looks to be in my wish list as the parts look great and I love the mech build itself [though I agree - that tail is a bit weird, but easy to leave off]. Love the flyer and how the modules can be installed onto the mech. Also really like those bots! Great review! I wish the numbers for Mookie Kid reviews were on par with Lego City so we could see more, but I am grateful for what you have reviewed so far! Also amazed that the price is not all that bad as this theme rarely has good deals!

“Stand by for Titanfall!” More Gundam than Titan, but it is well build enough that this mech can fit into pretty much any other theme that has mechs and not feel too out of place. My complements to the lego designers. Mei’s stuff always has the best color scheme!

I am in the minority that appreciates Monkie Kid, thanks for calling me out :P I understand with the limited shelf space and lots of new sets each year, that our (Dutch/European) Lego stores don't have much if any of the Monkie kid stuff (few years ago when i asked for a set they had a bit in stock in the back) on sale. I do like to see sets built up and shown off before i buy them, so i do rely a lot on your videos for more information then the marketing department at Lego gives us. So thank you for still showing Monkie Kid when you like to. I like to hear your opinion, i like your voice and i like your video and review styles. As far as pricing goes, i feel like with the amount of details Lego invests in minifigures, prints, stickers and vinyl sheets accesories the sets are big and expensive, but within the Lego price range not even out-landish any more (they still are not cheap within Lego either). Star Wars and 4+ have way worse values in their waves every year. To me your a Dang good channel Jang!

The gantry technic pin and hole arrangement at the base looks like it's ready for future mech gantries. Could it be a series of mechs with gantries that work a la the modular buildings? I anticipate another mech with a similar system coming out in the future. Might pick this up for that alone.

Personally, I think some of the best designed sets these days are in the Monkie Kid line. I keep forgetting about it, since it is sold exclusively online in Australia. I think for all you get here - scaffolding, complex Mech and flight pod - it seems great value to me. If I had to choose one theme only to buy from, it would be Monkie Kid.

This set was a surprise I genuinely think this is the best mech of 2024 you can get it in poses even squading down The only thing I don’t like is the tail it kinda feels like an afterthought would have been cool to have some kind of wings on the back but I guess they didn’t want to copy Lloyd’s Titan Mech which they heavily took inspiration from. You can’t tell me they didn’t pay some homage with the feet the hands and the overall shape of it

For once this is a very nice and poseable mech with even accessories, a smaller build, some hangar frame in place of useless minifigs that make the price go up. In an ideal world, I'd have wanted this one to sell for 79€ but still, even for Monkie Kid standards (which are always of premium quality), it's quite a reasonable price imho. I just own the Ultra Mech but I'm really tempted to display it alongside this one here. It just fills my Exo-Force heart with joy tbh.

This is certainly one of the better-looking mechs Lego has designed in this post-Exo-Force mech era. This looks like a mech-action figure that you can pose and play with while still looking good, something, imo, Lego has repeatedly failed at in this post-Exo-Force mech era. Not a fan of the characters, but I'm actually considering picking this one up. Also, I'm a big fan of that construction zone-like portion. It creates a scene and helps make this set feel alive. This mech looks great and has wonderful pose-ability between the use of Bionicle and Exo-Force joint parts.

As a Ninjago fan, Monkie Kid bothers me not because I see it as competition for my favorite theme, but because it feels like an amped-up and polished version of Ninjago in almost every way, while also being prohibitively expensive in comparison and being much less accessible market-wise. Monkie Kid is what I wish Ninjago could have been.

Could be selling that Mech for £60-£70 if they didn't include the waste of space scaffolding and they separated that awesome Little Ship out into a like a £18 set. Then I'd be buying an £18 set and giving them some money for monkey kid where as normally they get nothing from me 😅 I like some of the designs within that range but overall there's nowhere near enough value in there for their prices and being exclusive to the Lego store and not getting any good deals on them kills the licence for me😅 To some extent everything just comes down to me being already bogged down trying to budget for the stuff I've chosen to collect prior to this stuff and not being able to afford any of it.. Too many products too keep up with..

I think monkie kid would be more popular if we could get them from more than just the lego online store. I have one set from monkie kid, that I got at legoland by chance. I suspect the viewership is down on these videos just because most of us figure they aren't worth the hassle of ordering directly from the lego online shop. To be honest I'm mostly watching out of curiosity, just to see what they're doing in this.

It's the other way around though. They had them in LEGO stores, they had them in partner retail stores, and they didn't sell. Only after they failed to sell did LEGO pull it back to online-only, and only then to stick to their public promise to never region-lock standard releases (otherwise they'd probably only sell MK in its intended target market).
