Holy shit dude this was the video I’ve been looking for. Nowhere have I seen that I can use the remote to control my technic car through the app. Now I can finally try to get my sons train hooked up with those motors and add some lights and stuff. Thank you SO MUCH for explaining this. Lego should be paying you!

I just starting using Pybricks with the Remote for a moc. It's liberating not having to use the phone, and for the ability to code for my own build. Thanks for covering this!

@@technicmaster0tutorials great to hear. Also, If you can do a video on how to motorize technic sets using Powered Up hubs and motors or Control + hubs and motors that would be so helpful as currently, all those vidoes only talk about power functions which has now been retired

@@PP-rl5sn Great idea. It's not something that I will do very often but I'm currently working on a motorization for the new technic excavator. My "problem" with these videos is that they only help people that own the specific set and don't want to motorize it themselves while lego should be more about rebuilding and creativity in general.

Hi! Nice overview, thank you! At 15:27 you mention the protocol of the BLE communication is released. Can you provide a link for this?

KZfaq often blocks comments with links so it won't be possible in a direct way. It's on github and it's called "LEGO Wireless Protocol 3.0.00". You should be able to find it with that information.

Can u tell me what the comparability within the LEGO mind storms robot inventor set. For example what motors are compatible and if the remote control is compatible (with the mind storms hub)
@technicmaster0tutorials
@technicmaster0tutorials 3 жыл бұрын
I made a few videos for that topic: "LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor: Compatibility with Powered Up, Control+, Boost (51515)" (general compatibility but not 100% up to date because there was an update a few weeks ago) "LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor App Update: Powered Up Sensors now compatible + future" about the connection of powered up sensors and motors to RI "Motorized LEGO Technic Heavy-Duty Excavator (42121)" an example of a remote controlled model that uses the RI/SPIKE hub "HowTo connect the LEGO Powered Up remote (88010) DIRECTLY to Mindstorms Robot Inventor" similar to the previous video but with another python library "Powered Up Sensor library for LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor + SPIKE Prime (Python| Boost, WeDo 2.0)" my python lib to use powered up sensors with RI/SPIKE

I hate how expensive these things are and how they require bluetooth connection and batteries! I just want a simple, inexpensive device with analogue speed control that can plug into the grid so I can make some simple, stationary machines.

@willkroll8094
@willkroll8094 Жыл бұрын
@@technicmaster0tutorialsYes, I have both ports occupied by a motor. I’ve also tried switching the ports that the motors were using. Is there anything that needs to be done to prepare a motor or brand new hub before use that I could have missed?
@technicmaster0tutorials
@technicmaster0tutorials Жыл бұрын
@@willkroll8094 You can try to update the firmware on the hub. That can be done by disconnecting all of the cables on the hub and pressing the green button until the LED switches the colors. Then, you can connect the hub again to the app and it will update.
