Why is the price so expensive though?

Cause they know corporate honchos will eat this kind of thing up, and will pay top dollar too.

If you want to do this with a family or group of friends, you could probably save a ton of money going to a lego store and getting all the pieces via pick-a-brick

Funny thing about these exercises (and I've participated in few of them) is that it is fun play to understand how creative we all are but at end of the day people go back to way things are. The main issue that I see is that people treat this as a play and not a real life challenge. Doing a task for few minutes without understanding impact on improvement will not sink in. I think it's a good effort at getting some profit from some dumb corporate HRs who would hire you. We would not. Good luck!

Yup, another problem is if you want to change anything (simply as time of coffee break) you would interfere and mess up other people's workflow. Oh and there are are corporate rules you simply have to accept. If there are surprisingly none, I can guarantee Daddy State put up some laws instead.
