Hey Toby, there's a company called Trixbrix, and they have made 3d printed narrow gauge track you can buy. My order just arrived today and I have to say that they don't disappoint. They offer different size straights, curves, points, buffers, crossings with both narrow gauge, and standard gauge. They even gave me a free gift of a curve piece of track with their logo printed tile.

You know, you should feel Prius of yourself on your custom lego models of both the standard and narrow gauge engines. Many people like me were very impressed on your work effort and skills for each one. And yeah, I did enjoy some of your videos too. 🙂

There are two other narrow gauge engines you ought to try creating: Peter Sam and Duncan. There's also Duke, based on the Ffestiniog Railway saddle tank/tender engine Prince.

I went to the Tallyllyn Railway during the summer last year, I loved it there, it was so chill 👍 Didn't know the slate trucks were used there, I don't remember seeing any during my visit.

Very cool! I imagine the slate trucks are more a relic of a past era with the railway mostly being a tourist attraction since preservation

Thanks! I agree Sir Handel and Skarloey look similar, although I'd say it's more because of how similar they look in the books than because of the models. I have to imagine it's why they kept Sir Handel blue in the TV show!

Thanks! I cut most of them with a Cricut Maker 3 at my college, although I cut the letters and numbers on an older Cricut Explore at a nearby school after coming home for the summer.

Um, question, are you going to build a blue and orange versions of Rusty and Sir Handel? Because when I read the railway series when I read them, I mistook Rusty for Fred, and I got Skarloey, Rheneas, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Duncan and Ivo Hugh mixed up.

Maybe you could make a filled sleight truck that’s built different to house a motor to push narrow gauge engines along? I don’t think you could use an official one (aside from a wind up motor) but maybe a third party motor could work

While it would be cool to motorize them, the narrow gauge engines' wheels generate much more friction than my larger engines, so I'm afraid they wouldn't roll well.

@@frogmouth2 For my standard gauge engines, the wheels connect to a Technic axle, which rolls well. The narrow gauge wheels clip onto a special plate (Lego part 4600), so there's no axle and the connection is much more friction-prone
