The new studio is here to stay & all decisions were made based on significant feedback as well as experimentation & planning, but I will continue to tune & improve it over time as always! The old style cannot come back (see all of my COPPA videos) though it's mostly preserved here.

@@visualsym because of KZfaq's COPPA enforcement. They are not allowed to keep data from minors, and comments linked to a profile are data. On 'children's videos', they just removed the option to comment due to this. And because of vagueness Jang's channel is likely considered 'for children', so he had to flag all his videos as for children (It's not. It's general audiences, but KZfaq doesn't want to add that option).

Solid review. With the F8 Tributo, that printed 4x1 spare part appears to be standard as I also got that part left over. I'm not too sure why since none of those pieces sit in a particularly vulnerable position on the model. Also with the new scale, these cars appear to be more displayable models than the previous generations of Speed Champions. All the new Speed Champions cars are 1:30 scale (from me measuring give or take 5%) so they are better toys and models, which makes them so much more desirable to me and probably other older fans.

I like the perspective at the end of the new format. Being able to see your face when you voice your opinions I think really solidifies them and allows us as viewers to truly see how you feel about the sets. Glad you're back!

The new design looks so much more significant even though it’s $5 US more. It’s definitely worth the extra $5. Bigger and much more prints. They’ll look so much nicer on a shelf than the older designs.

Just a quick note, if anyone is interested in removing prints from and building block companies, all you need is a pencil eraser, in proportion to the size of the print, it does take a little while to remove the print, but it works well, and doesn't take away she shiny appearance of the part, hope this helps

I gotta say, I love the change to 8 stud wide builds. The cars look so much better. so good in fact I think I might finally be convinced to pick up a speed champions set. The Farrari looks so, so good! There are a couple others that look really good too but that Farrari takes the cake. Also, so glad to see you back and I'm good with the new format!

Speed champions is my favorite theme atm. I just finished collecting all the 2020 cars. They’re great. And yes I did get an extra 1x4 print in the Ferrari

After 25 years, Lego has finally caught up with me. From 4 wide, to 6 wide and finally to 8 wide. I used to build 8-wide cars like this when I was a kid back in the 90s. Of course my 8-widers looked so much blockier than this Ferrari because there weren't that big a part selection to choose from as there is today.

I love this. I feel like it's finally worth it to put these on a shelf for display. Previously they always looked more like play models for teens, but those extra studs in width (and length I assume) finally give the designers enough freedom to get important shapes incorporated into the designs. Do you happen to know how many of these 8-stud cars they are planning to release this year/wave? On a sidenote, I really like seeing your face in the videos and I also like your hands reaching in from different sides. Those are some fine choices.

I don’t know why people keep saying “they don’t work with city layouts” or on the road base plates, I built the r35 and it fits perfectly on a road baseplate

Bearing in mind, some of the old road plates would be suited to four stud wide cars and some people might still have them.

What Verity said, also because Lego City isn't properly scaled, and the city baseplates are in no way accurate to scale either. These new Speed Champions are definitely more to scale with their real life counterparts. If you're interested, proper human to Minifigure scale is 3.5 studs per meter.

Interesting point! I would like to know more, because I have the older 6-stud wide cars, which just barely fits on one lane. It is a plate from when my mom was young, and one lane is 6 or 7 studs wide. How big the street plates are now? I don't have one, and they are never sold in my hometown.

It's really good to see you, Jang. It feels like there's an even stronger connection between you and us - your community - now. I like cars of this size much more. They work well for Minifig scale, especially since you can put two figs right next to each other. I just think the problem here isn't the size of the cars, but the size of the street plates.

Bought the entire first wave and I love them! My favorite LEGO thing since I got back into it has been the Creator Expert cars, and these are an awesome little scratch itcher in between those. I could never quite get into the old ones, but these caught my attention the second I saw them.

Really nice! :) Sets are awesome, i always looked at Speed Champions with a bit o scepticism, im not into cars in life but i love them in Lego form (next big Creator Expert car is my most anticipated set) so those "New" Speed Champions are really scratching my itch for cool semi realistic cars to build and collect. I got the GTR and I love the attention to detail with the gearstick and the handbrake. Also the back see-through pieces can be used as a boot for the car. That’s how I store my wheels

Great video! Nice changes in both lego and jang's studio. I appreciate the elaboration on the sticker placement. I will keep them in mind when I purchase the GT-R. I don't know much about Nissan, but will support anything that brings Mitsubishi closer to reality. Evolution VII in yellow or red please!

I like this new direction for speed champions. Before I didn't feel like there was much distinguishing them from a city set, but now the it feels like they're making models that can be used for display as well as play.

Great review video - I've been looking at these and think they need to be purchased soon. I do like the care with which you put sets together, some on youtube seem more interested in churning out videos rather than making the Lego look as good as possible. I just hope that there's a Supra in the future.

I personally am in the middle of a slump for various reasons but COPPA really added extra tar to the barrel. Watching you keeping the positive vibes up and your will to adapt brings the hope back. Seriously, I wish for us to meet on a podcast some unknown time from now and look back at all this with laugh and reflection. You're only gonna come out stronger!

Only started collecting Speed Champions with the last wave (mostly on because of you and Nick on Planet Ripple) and I thought they were amazing already. These are blowing my mind, and I'll definitely be investing in a fair number of these sets.
