The orange fits perfectly, you're just picky. It gives the ship a worn look to it and it adds to the detail of it. Its weird how YOU think its weird... Like just go with it. Literally nobody else has a problem with it but you.

I’d rather buy this than UCS slave one. This one has the same exceptional detail and is just beautiful.$120 is respectable unlike some other sets.

Daniel Fero the set is mostly to play with it, the ice set is mostly for collectors, to desplay, the ucs is more beautiful and I just use it for desplay, I respect your opinion though. 8 months late🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

4:09 Lego probably put printing on the back because some kids might take the jet pack off to give it to other characters when playing or might just loose the jet pack so there will still be something cool on the back of the minifigure

I love that they got the angle down on the profile of the Slave 1. All the previous ones(Except the UCS) it was horizontal, whereas it's slightly angled now.

Boba was a clone but without genetic editing, meaning he didn't age faster than usual and stuff. BUT, Jango felt like having a son of his own, so he made a special clone with no genetic editing which just so happens to be Boba. :)

I took out the spring loaded bolts and replaced the 2 wedge plates with smoother 2x2 curved tiles. seriously looks insanely better

6:57 I couldn’t be the only one who doesn’t like that they did trans blue instead of the more accurate trans orange. Seems like a pretty major thing for them to mess up. PS I kinda would’ve preferred it if they made the handle a little smaller and got the full large engine

I love this set. I was able to pick up all 20th anniversary sets. The only thing I didn't like was how the instruction books were bent. I would think they would keep the books flat.

I just finished building this (Yes, I had to wait until the "set date"). I really enjoy it and was pleased that a more affordable version of Slave 1 was released. The UCS for $300-$350 wasn't something I thought is worth the price. For $120 I believe this version is worth it. Of course maybe $10 cheaper would be piece-for-piece more like it, but no big deal. I DO have the manual with the mistake on 186.:)

Awesome review Ryan. I just wanted to hopefully give you some peace of mind. I saw bricks and bits and I just want you to know that I understand you want sets as early as possible and it probably does help generate more traffic and viewers with new things but in the end I am subscribed to you! I may see Jang's review just bc its out first but it honestly doesnt take away from the fact that I am subscribed to you and want to see your review/take on the set. You should be able to get a good used UCS for the same price. This one looks like a mini version of the UCS however the cockpit glass on the UCS is better and more importantly the underside of the UCS one is much more detailed. Its actually pretty spectacular.

Most of them are actually cheaper than the RRP on BrickLink, and a lot of LEGO stores will still have stock. You'll be able to get it around it's retail price for another year probably.

I bought a UCS slave 1 on eBay 2 months ago. Used/fully assembled. 150$. Was actually quite a b**** to take apart, but it was in perfect condition.

I did that on my Han's Speeder as well. I don't like it when they get the engine accents wrong. I think they're really key to the look.

The set was released 3 years ago. Of course it was discontinued. They did release a new version in 2021. The new version isn’t good though but if you really want a Slave 1, there you go

Personally, the Clone Scout Walker I knew would be my favorite! I already have it and the Snowspeeder, Imperial Dropship, and Anakin’s Podracer I’m getting tonight! I honestly wish we got Jango’s instead. I do like the Zuckuss though!

The orange bit art the wing/stabilizer section most probably comes from the Bandai 1/144 Star Wars Slave I model kit (#01204) which has the same bit in the same color. My guess is the LEGO designer used the Bandai model as a 3D reference when designing the set.
