In this lego star wars stop motion, classic phase II clone troopers attack their Jedi Commander during Order 66. I use lots of classic figures including the OG clones, and some older parts to make for a more retro feel from around 2006-2008 and the early days of lego stars wars stop motions on youtube.
If you like what you see, check out my channel and be sure to like and subscribe! I post more Order 66 videos as well as battles and other stop motions.

That part at the begining with the gungan getting hit by the speeder reminds me of the old lego 501st series by pizzamovies, very well done animation btw you captured that old 2000s youtube style of lego stopmotion.

Thank you so much for your comment, this was my every intention to replicate that nostalgic era. I always watched those videos and they really made an impact on me, so I'm so glad that I captured it well and that you noticed the references and overall feel of it. I really tried hard to make it feel like it was from that time, only with better film quality of course.

Great animation but does anyone else think that the 2006 clone troopers kinda look more like stormtroopers??
@clonepilotace
@clonepilotace 10 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I totally agree, their helmet shaping was a bit weird at the time for clones but I guess they did the best they could at the time. The newer clones are more accurate but these guys will always have a special place for me given they're so nostalgic and unique.

i think they were kind of based more on the phase 2 clones seen in the 2003 clone wars show
@truesonsofmandalore
@truesonsofmandalore 10 ай бұрын
As a matter of fact they're meant to look that way. The phase 2 clone design was achieved in pre production for revenge of the sith by Photoshopping classic stormtrooper helmet features over the existing clone helmet. So the concept art went somewhat like this: a 2d render of the original clone trooper maquette prop designed for AOTC was put in Photoshop. They then took the grill/front area of the Stormtrooper helmet and put it over the phase 1 clone. Then they took the shape of the "goggle lenses" and put them on the p1 visor. The same was done with the ear caps. The final step which wasn't done until late in production was to round out the p1 helmet fin (we can see in early unfinished deleted scenes that the clone use something more like the 1.5 arc helmet). This design was then used to paint concept designs on like the green 442nd, plain p2 version of the 91st Recon trooper, Deviss (later Bly), and the 327th among many others, and this art can be found on Google quite easily. That said, the Lego sets released alongside the film and so the figures were based on the concept art which is why they're mostly based on designs not in the film (442nd, plain 91st, closed helmet pilot, etc), the change to round off the helmet fin coming last minute as early prototypes of the sets depict an unused clone helmet mold with the fin intact. This is also why the fin is so pronounced even though it's p2. If you compare the p2 clone from 2005-2007 to the stormtrooper helmet mold from that time they have very similar features. It was meant to foreshadow their betrayal.
@clonepilotace
@clonepilotace 10 ай бұрын
@@truesonsofmandalore Yeah I love the part that its overshadowing their betrayal, and you're right they're based off the concepts. LEGO still does that today with sets, although they obviously get more info and exact details these days (although they still do make minifigure mistakes!), with that said though I love the nostalgic classic P2 design, it will always be very special for me and I will use them again in future just because they have such an iconic look to them.

Thanks so much, I'm so glad you liked it. I tried my best to really capture the essence and I'm glad you noticed all the little details I tried to incorporate. I'm really happy with the mumbling, I based that off of the TCS video game and then some early stop motions, and the PFP at the beginning was a last minute decision to add, but I'm so glad I did. I also originally added the classic pizzamovies intro music with the intro image of the pilot, but it got copyrighted right away so I had to remove it but I'm still very happy with how it all turned out. I want to do more classics for sure, I might do a classic base battle, and maybe some sort of venator boarded thing with the classic clones. I also have some geonosis battle plans far in the future. Lots more to come, stay tuned and glad you liked it and noticed all the cool little nostalgic details!

Wow, this is a turn of events, thank you so much for doing this. I have a better idea though if you continue this but you don’t have to. If you make the quality look really bad it adds the vibe to the very old 2007 - 2011 stopmotions with drawn effects. Take it as a suggestion, have a good day.
@clonepilotace
@clonepilotace 10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment, yeah the drawn laser and explosion effects are a really good idea, I was tempted to do that this time but I love my practical effects. Of course, this isn't accurate to the time as barely anyone even now uses practical laser effects but it's always been my style so. That being said, I have a strong consideration of maybe doing some of that in the future, and it's a great idea so thanks so much for reminding me of another element of these classic films and I'm glad you enjoyed this. True, but that speeder is from the 2007 battle pack. Also that 2x2 crate piece that you used wasn’t created until 2008. Also I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that some of the plant pieces that you used at the beginning definitely were not created all the way back in 2006. One other thing is that the 1x1 translucent blue stud piece that you used on the tip of some of the clone’s blasters, wasn’t created until 2009.
@clonepilotace
@clonepilotace 10 ай бұрын
@@quickbrick6810 It was more of an in general homage to that approximate era, not meant to be 100% accurate with exact pieces from that year. I said 2006 because it worked better with "66" in the title, in the description I say 2006--08 era, which could even be extended to like 2011 ish really. The speeder I actually don't have the set too, I had to build it with spare parts I had. As for the blaster tips, yes I know that piece is new but it still gives the look of the old blasters.
