Important info: After the day 1 patch my kids are now getting a TON of crashes. This might be just our bad luck but it is worth you noting if playing in Co-Op. Prior to the patch we didn’t have any crashing issues. Update on Crashes: After “check data for corruption” the game has reinstalled saying there was corruption and it seems ok for now Uk Switch Users: Base have this for £38 Edits: game releases 5th April not March and NOT live action, Clone Wars- it’s been a hectic day! I'm glad this looks as good as it does on switch. Quite a relief honestly. Also, when it comes to some of the voice work, it was done by a lot of the same cast as Clone Wars. An example being Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Absolutely had my doubts that it would run smoothly on the Switch. This game seems massive. Was expecting poor fps and a big graphics downgrade from other versions due to the size & features of the game

This is amazing to see how far the series has come since the original Lego Star Wars that started it all. I love that they keep changing and improving the series. Just wish we could get the last few older ones ported to switch like Pirates, LotR, and Hobbit.

This is just what the Lego franchise needed. A game design reboot and with its most iconic and important theme!

Considering how some other Lego games performed on Switch (especially in handheld) I definitely had my reservations for this and was prepared to get it on PS4 or PC, but looks like I'm getting it on Switch after all! Thanks for the comprehensive review again guys!

Just what I was waiting for today! This has been my most anticipated game this half of the year.

One thing that I'm so happy to see in this game that is often overlooked by developers are subtitles that clearly identify who is speaking!

So glad to hear this runs well on the Switch. I've been pumped for this but had my reservations about getting it on Switch. I haven't preordered a game or bought a deluxe version of a game in years. This game warranted me doing both and I can't wait for it haha

This HAS to go to my collection. Was really worried about the Switch performance but seems like they understood that this console needs some love.

Wasn't on my radar until a few days ago when everyone was talking about it. Looks great and if I see the physical on sale I'll pick it up.

Two things that got me even more sold on this game than I already was: that it's not a kids game, and the scalable fonts

I was just watching a review of the Playstation version and came here just to see how it fares on the Switch. I already knew it was a good game, but I was rather skeptical as to how it would handle on a underpowered handheld system. Thankfully, this game handles surprisingly okay-ish. Yes there is some hiccups here and there, but just as long as it's functional, I'm okay with that. I mean heck, I played Lego City Undercover on the Switch and was only a little bothered by the framerate drops, but nothing really game breaking.

Was looking st the store and my boys saw this and wanted to play it. Instead i booted up my old 360 and put on the older Complete Saga for them to try. Came here to see what it's all about and was surprised to see how good it looks. Yet the adult game that kids can play was a bit of a put back. Still looks awesome and might pick it up for myself and see how the kiddos would do just exploring. Good review as always!

Got mine today!!! £37.85 from base ordered October 2019! Really loving it so far. Starting with new hope. It looks gorgeous (better in handheld for me) & the side character dialogue is so funny! Only issue I've had is some stuttering in cut scenes, characters standing in the way (especially when pushing things) & the camera going funny when near a wall

Just got this on sale for $22 I’m so excited typing this whilst it downloads I wanted to see reviews cause I was curious but even if it’s was only as good as of Lego starwars I would have been satisfied I had no idea about all the stuff added so seeing this made me satisfied and actually went way above expectations for what I originally thought I was about to play

Great review! This game's been on my radar, I added it to my wish list months ago. The last LEGO Star Wars game I played was LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game on the Nintendo GameCube. I'll be curious to see the comparisons of how different sequences play out in this versus the prior games. I've heard that you can go through each movie in about 60-90 minutes, but obviously the free play objectives add a ton of replay value long after you've played the nine movies.

Has anyone played this recently with all the latest patches installed? How's the performance these days, particularly co-op?

Game is awesome on Switch. More than a few times a guy at work has looked over while I'm playing on a OLED Switch and cant' believe how good it look. I have it on SX and Switch, both are great.

30 fps undocked is perfectly fine. If this was Dark Souls or a similar nail biter, it would be totally different. But 30 fps for this one isn't so bad. I also have (and primarily play) it on my Xbox series. So this is great for trips or if I want to let my neice play it without fear of total destruction.

Finally picked this up at the weekend - loving it so far! Big Star Wars fan, so this was a must (eventually)!! 👍🏻

I kept my expectations low on the graphics/performance front, but got it anyway......and can honestly say I'm absolutely loving it!! it looks and runs better than I expected. of course its not going to keep up with the next gen consoles etc, but kicking back with earphones on and playing in handheld on oled is bliss.

LEGO fan: Yes. STAR WARS fan: An even bigger YES!!! Combine the two: Don't even get me started... This is one of those few moments where a game strikes me as being so good that a physical copy is warranted. I may also be double dipping and purchasing on the Switch as well as the XBox. The Force is definitely strong in this one.

This game is awesome in free play and packed with content and runs fine on Switch, if you got little ones this is a must buy.

Wow. Just WOW! They weren't kidding when they said that its their most ambitious Lego game ever. It seems to incorporate features from other Lego Star Wars games too; 3rd person shooting and large open-ended areas to explore from Force Awakened and that RTS looking thing from Lego Star Wars 3. Can't wait! Also, I know you said it but just wanna reconfirm, is the dialogues all original to the game or is it dialogue bits from the movie splice and put into the game?

If this wasn’t a Lego game and it had more depth in gameplay like combat.. it would’ve been an amazing Star Wars game! It does still look good for a Lego Star Wars game. It took me awhile to hear how good it is and I’m now going to give it a go. I’m just debating on what platform to get it on. Switch or PS5? It seems more like a better fit on switch. I'm playing on Xbox one and have had a few crashes. Was playing co-op when I took on Palpatine...and the frame drops were absolutely brutal. Nice game though. It looks incredible...and loads to do/collect.

Glad this game runs as well as it does. I just hope we get some AMD upscaling patch update down the line and that it makes splitscreen a run stable 30 fps (60fps on next gen Switch hopefully too).

Wasn’t planning on buying but this review convinced me that the game is worth getting down the line. Looks and sounds great!

I was waiting for reviews, and because of that, the nice deluxe edition is all sold out. At least best buy has a special launch edition that has a steelcase, and it includes a cardboard box around the steelcase. Those are nice.

I haven’t been excited for a Lego game ever in my life but this here got my attention.

To be fair I've done that at least once in every Lego game ask myself what to I do next. My advice is as we get older we tend to think to much about it so stop thinking and just play. Almost every time I get stuck in a Lego game I find it's cause I'm overthinking what's going on and the answer is usually right on front of me.
