After the great corruption at Gygax and the Omnicon purge that followed, the last remaining Omnicon fled deep into the heart of Cybertron. There it came into contact with Vector Sigma and was granted sentience. With it's eyes opened, the Omnicon reflected on the injustice and cruelty its brothers had suffered at the hands of both the Autobots, who had used them as expendable foot soldiers, and the Decepticons, who mutilated them and pitted them against their own kind. The Omnicon decided that the only way to end the war and prevent other innocent beings from being made casualties was the complete annihilation of Autobots and Decepticons alike. It began to build a new army from the raw materials of Cybertron's core. And so, the Ultracon race was born. No longer mindless drones, they returned to the surface as cunning and deadly warriors, sweeping across battlefields leaving only death and destruction in the wake of their twisted quest for peace. If the Ultracon threat continues to go unopposed, the outcome of this war will be irrelevant. The planet will belong to them, and the Cybertronian race will face extinction.
