Perhaps not coincidentally, I watched a lot of Snowrunner videos for inspiration.

This is amazing. it looks so much like a real truck from afar, and I love the logo on the orange container. I'm sharing this with my trucker friend for sure!

Excellent build, excellent video, excellent music- great stuff as always. I am reminded incidentally of the film "Sorcerer" if only for the fact that there's synths, trucks, and what seems to be a maybe-hazardous load- at least the ice road seems safe while it lasts!

Just watched Sorcerer this week, great movie I didn't even know existed. Thanks for the tip!

Absolutely. It may take a while, but there are definately plans. (Think along the lines of the show Loading Kings on KZfaq)

Nice combo of the old wheels and the new tyres - I suppose they are attached and driven by hubs and CV joints? Also nice music taste :)

Only one thing I dislike about this channel, I can’t enable notifications.

So sorry to hear that, I have no idea how to fix that. I heard Jangbricks had similar problems, he made an entirely new channel. I would prefer not to do that.

So there’s a long story behind this. You may have noticed that I don’t post videos all that often. That’s because I’ve put quite a lot of self-imposed restrictions on what I put online. The models should function well, look good, be filmed properly, and preferably there should be something new or innovative there. To me, this video is none of these things. The suspension can only barely handle bumps, and the cab leans over. The connection between the truck and the trailer can hardly handle the load. The model lacks details like rear view mirrors or rear lights. Nothing exciting happens. The reason behind that is; it hardly ever snows where I live. Last video I posted of a Lego model in snow is 9 years ago. And I desperately wanted to do that again, because it’s a fun challenge, and can deliver some awesome looking video. So when it finally did snow again, I had only a couple of days to put a model together. I didn’t have much time to test, and my last experience building for snow was a decade ago. This was filmed on the last afternoon before the thaw set in. All the snow is gone now. So here I am, with no way to improve the model, no way to do any reshoots, and a bit of footage that to me doesn’t quite make the cut. Typically, I would decide that this isn’t up to my standards, and never release it. Instead, knowing that it can be another 9 years before it snows again, I just put it online. Gave it an appropriate title so people know what they’re in for. This is not some big project that I had months to work on. This is something cobbled together in a few days. This is a truck, driving through snow while synth music plays. That’s all it is. And for once, I think that’s good enough. (Also, something else is in the works- the models you see during the credits will get a bigger, better video. May take a while, though.)

@@mahj ultimately it is your choice what you post and I respect that! I do want to say though that your talent shines through even on models like this. That you were able to make such a good looking functional model in a time crunch is a feat, and the aesthetics are a skill which I appreciate just as much as the functions. Your approach to making your vehicles vibrant and unique, even on simpler models like this, is something I don't see a lot. Have you considered making a second channel for stuff that didn't make the cut, or even just a flickr/brickshelf/instagram for pics of those? I think many people would still love to see them.
