I am so disappointed, I ordered just before midnight when the promotion was still on the website and it never came in my order. LEGO compensated me with 800 VIP points... Yh not great but the set is beautiful

I was also "lucky" because I ordered 23:55. Pretty useless gift now that I have it in hand and not worth the hassle or the absurd prices on secondary market. Regarding the whole VIP experience I have a few constuctive suggestions: 1st LEGO should fix their VIP pre-sale start to a certain time. It used to be 10 AM because also Stores open at this time (at least in Germany), but lately it was midnight or 5 minutes before midnight. As if someone would manually switch a button and release the sale. It's so inconsistent and frustrating to stay up late only to discover the sale starts only in the morning, but at least more people have a chance to win at the GWP lottery. 2nd they should stick to GWP's containing LEGO bricks only instead of cheap souvenirs like key chains, coins and postcards with leather wallets. 3rd lower the threshold to a reasonable sum like 100€.

North America got screwed again. I was one of those people who bought this set so early because I wanted the advertised gift. Thanks for showing us what we missed out on. I don’t feel so bad now.

This happens regularly with Lego. They are also good at cancelling an order for multiple items, if just one item is over their limit, but it does not stop them from putting a hold on payment for 7 days, so no Lego and money held to ransom for a week - more people need to complain when this happens to get them to fix their issues.

Soon I will buy this set.

The order page in Sweden went up a few minutes after midnight. I ordered right away, even though it took multiple tries until it accepted my payment. I got the welcome pack in the mail today. Interesting as well is that my package had plastic bubblewrap instead of the paper you got, and I think as a result my welcome pack is in better condition, not perfect, but better. This really is inconsistent and weird from Lego as a company.

Having seen the gift pack contents I'm not too disappointed I didn't get it. At least I got the car itself and built it as the targa

Being a Porsche and LEGO fan I totally wanted this promo set since I have first seen it in January. Unfortunately LEGO Shop does not ship to Russia. So I registered on site using Germany as my country and made an order with delivery to my friend located in Germany. I was waiting to midnight in Germany (2 a.m. in Moscow) and about three minutes before midnight set was available for purchase. I had email with confirmation from PayPal on 00:01. Several days after my friend confirmed that he had received my order including promo pack. Sad to know that many fans haven’t received the promo pack:(

Got the set and the gift after ordering 3 minutes before midnight. The gift box has the same appearance as boxes from other porsche design items (like e.g. P'6540 titanium watch) with a nice velvet-like surface. The Certificate of Awesomeness resembles the model specifications of the real cars at the Porsche dealer.

I was going to go for this, but I actually totally forgot about it as I was watching a streamer on the night this was coming out! And from the messages on a blog, I heard that this went live one hour before it was supposed to go live in the UK. It went live at 11pm, not 12am, and I heard it didn't last even half an hour. It last a rather pathetic 22 minutes! I would've been all in with this at the time if I did remember to stay on the ball, but I'm glad I forgot; I'll still get the Porsche 911 set as I love cars but I'm not in as much of a rush this time as there's a lot of other sets that catch my eye right now and I want to moderate my spending after last year. And sort out space, such is the way with getting lots of large beautiful sets!

They should send us the pack when it becomes possible. And would it have been too much to ask for LEGO to include the $1.24 worth of parts to make a targa turbo? That’s what my parts order came to. I got no other gwp either. But I have two ice rinks. When I ordered it the reason why it was canceled was “shipping issues on the US west coast “ And has anyone noticed the big error on the instrument panel of this set? 911s have a large central tachometer. LEGO got it right on the GT3RS and RSR.

Future Lego 1:8 scale supercars need to have welcome packs, after all we pay so much more for the sets.

I have a feeling like the whole of Europe shared the same stock which is why they sold out so quickly. My UK Gift shipment was sent from mainland Europe as it was checked in through Belgium and Netherlands.

Ordered the set just before 11:30, never received vip welcome pack, emailed Lego 7 days ago, still waiting on a reply. Not happy to say the least.

Just got my 911 in the post today and very disappointed to have not received the welcome pack 😢😢😢

I bought it at midnight, the promo was in my basket so i thought everything worked out fine. Next morning i check my order history and the promo isnt there. I tried calling lego for hours before someone answered the Phone. It was a really nice friendly man but unfortunatly he said the promo was sold out. (Even though i orderd it easily on time). As compensation he gave me 3750 vip points and he send me the cool metal lego vip keychain. Really good compensation but still really disapointing as i waited 3 weeks for the porsche and the promo to come out. Hope my story helped.

I ordered the Porsche too very early and did not get the welcome pack.

One wonders what really happened with that VIP Porsche Welcome Pack (PWC), some gross miscalculation must've been made I would think. Bad thing is, LEGO leaves their customer base/fans really in the cold about what really happened, they are not transparent about it. I also realise I've been one lucky bastard with this set, because I bought it a few months later (somewhere april 2021) of off ebay new and sealed, WITH the PCW! Including shipping from Germany to the Netherlands, I payed 145 euros. I liked the posters when I saw them, but they are rather small tbh, all in all the PWC is not-that-impressive IMHO, but now I understand this is a pretty rare piece of LEGO collectible!

Once Lego canceled the gift for North America i decided to wait tell I can get a better deal on the set.

Why did you get the Ice Skating set to your Porsche? I wasnt able, because the Porsche costs 130€ and the gwp only is available from 150€.

Well, the main reason is that plenty of scalpers buy LEGO the last 10 years to resale items for a profit. Just take a look at ebay and FB marketplace. Similar issues in si many other lines of business.

In Canada no one got the Porsche GWP. Very disappointing.

I ordered on the 16th the second it was available and didn’t get the GWP. I don’t really care though. It would’ve been cool, but I’m not mad about it.

Why do retailers offer lower prices than lego.com? Most of the time the price difference is very significant

I never got my Porsche welcome pack. I called Lego and they said it was a limited run so first come, first served even though I’m a VIP. They did send me the Ferrari F8 instead but I’m not into Ferraris!

What a giant FIASCO! LEGO, protect that Porsche gift with something, wrap it, it looks like it already came all damaged. I tried to get it at 5am, silly me...I complained to LEGO that the gifts were gone within minutes. They gave me 1500 VIP points as compensations. Better than nothing. So always complain to them if you have a solid reason.

At least the porsche is white so hopefully no color-matching issues.

I placed an order on Lego.com at 7AM the 16th in France and didn't see the gift so I called. It was already out of stock but the did give me a 25€ discount on the Porsche. Not bad...

I got the gift

I ordered at 11.50pm (uk). Pack arrived no welcome pack. I telephoned Lego. All they said was sorry. Didn't get any compo. It's a disgrace to entice you to order and not honour the promise. EBay is full of greedy sellers wanting very high prices for the set. Genuine Lego collectors are the losers. We live in a greedy world.

I think what they're doing is false advertising! No where on that promotional email does it say how many welcome packs are available or what number in line you are. If you ordered a dinning set of table and six chairs you'd expect then all to arrive! why should lego be different.I requested my packs when my order arrived with out and they basically blamed the covid crisis and underestimating how popular the item would be! Not the customers problem they should supply what they advertise. Very bad PR

I live in Belgium, same timezone as Italy. Payed (€149,99 NOT €129.99???) at 00u13 and got my order confirmation at 01u23. Two days later I received the Porsche set + welcome pack. Spoken of inconsistency regarding the story of your fellow ambassador from Italy!
