Tucker Dunkel well I mean we should feel bad for the Singaporeans they were invaded by many countries Britain, Japan and many more. The British just defended what they stole. So in this Case no ones the hero .

Just gotta say- this was epic! The sound effects, voice overs, flamethrower effect, FPS rate, and basically everything was just perfect. If this isn’t the definition of “masterpiece,” then I don’t know what is!

The Battle of Singapore, also known as the Fall of Singapore, was fought in the South-East Asian theatre of World War II when the Empire of Japan invaded the British stronghold of Singapore-nicknamed the "Gibraltar of the East". Singapore was the major British military base in South-East Asia and was the keystone of British imperial interwar defence planning for South-East Asia as well as the South-West Pacific. The fighting in Singapore lasted from 8 to 15 February 1942 although this was preceded by two months of British resistance as Japanese forces advanced down the Malaya peninsula. It resulted in the capture of Singapore by the Japanese and the largest surrender of British-led military personnel in history.[3] About 80,000 British, Indian and Australian troops became prisoners of war, joining 50,000 taken by the Japanese in the earlier Malayan Campaign. The British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, called the ignominious fall of Singapore to the Japanese the "worst disaster" and "largest capitulation" in British military history.

I don't blame the Japanese government. The government was in control of the military which grew aggressive against its allies. Emperor Hirohito wasn't in complete control. General Hideki Tojo (correct me if I spelled his name wrong) was the ones who gave commands.

@col.greenanole79738 жыл бұрын
+Jacob Taylor That's sad, but don't hate America for it. It was the Japanese who killed them by dragging them into the war. Civilian casualties are an inevitable part of modern conflict.

As much as I am against Japanese victory, you have to kind of admire their tactics. I find it interesting how the IJA would fight until the end for their honor and emperor.

Sir Sabre indeed, the fact that the Japanese were able to seize Singapore and Malaysia and do it as well as they did makes it one of the greatest tactical achievements in human warfare alongside the Muslims conquering of the Persians in the 600's and Napoleon's various campaigns.

and we killed thousands of native Americans, Belgium killed thousands of Congolese, turkey tried to exterminate Armenia and is sloppily covering it up, every country has done some horrible things. that doesn't mean that an entire people irredeemably suck for it.
