I finally got to check out the LEGOLAND Minifigure Speedway on a quiet day at the park. Here’s my thoughts on the parks latest addition, a duelling Zierer rollercoaster.

I felt very much the same, that its okay, nothing more, nothing less. Some nice theming moments - i liked Roxys background story on the queueline board. Mind you. I acutely remember a child behind shrieking with joy that they "dont know where im going!" on the backwards bit and i feel like thats the opinion that really matters 😊

It is what It is.... I don't expect a great deal anymore here in England... I really don't

@@LiftHillsandThrills Yeah... travelling abroad is about the worst thing you can do for enjoyment of the UK parks 😅

Great for a family park or area. That's about all you can say about it. The teeming needs work although the big lego figure is cool.

I visited LEGOLAND for the first time ever yesterday taking three 10yo boys, a 13yo girl and my wife. One of the boys had been before and took us all to The Dragon first. I wanted to try this Minifigure race but no-one else did. Ten minute wait on a busy Saturday- by comparison The Dragon was 45 minutes by this point - and I rode alone. I found it to be rough which is surprising because it looks and sounds so smooth - gave me a headache and felt unpleasant being shaken around. Wasn’t as fast as I hoped and I didn’t find the turns thrilling, mainly annoying. The Dragon by contrast had more going for it which I was not expecting. The theming was ok but not comprehensive. The whole thing is set up like a race but it seemed like the two cars did the same thing, finished about the same time and the celebration of winning or losing was absent. I didn’t actually know who won. The assigning of random Lego team leaders was interesting but went nowhere as far as I could tell. The giant mini figure is the best thing about the theming and the look of the tracks from the outside is nice.

I think Merlin really need to look at how they are opening rides. Nemesis Reborn queue line still looks like a construction site, the same with the ride area for Mini Figure Speedway, and Mandrill Mayhem opened with lots of rubble and pipe work exposed. It's just laziness. Then you've got parks like Paultons that look at the bigger picture and really focus on making the areas look amazing.

Great addition to Legoland. Better onride than off. The rest of it is a tough one. They also have the Woodland Lodges opening soon to.

It’s perfect for that park, few bits to hopefully finish it off, I was slightly underwhelmed but my 8 year old daughter loved it

That’s all that matters. Appeals to the target demographic. The adults just have to suffer it 😂

Haha I went on it the week after opening. I was absolutely hanging out my arse. The 35 minute drive to the park was touch and go 🤮. Suffice to say, I felt like death on the ride. I’m sure it’s an ok experience when your not already holding back the vom 😂

On a quiet day with family yeah, I usually rock up when there’s a new ride and never visit again for obvious reasons 😂
