It was an organizational fail, his KHL team just let him rot for 2 years and the Canucks did nothing. Killed his progression.

The comparison is much more in Pod's favour. OJ barely played 41 games. Podz has well over 130 games played. OJ massively underperformed compared to similar players picked in his year. Pod is more... middling is the word I'd use. Lots of comparable forwards have substantially done better than Pod. Anyone in his range who underperformed basically got traded long ago. Pod hasn't been bad enough to merit that, infuriatingly mid performance is apt. Unless he's ok being stuck in a bottom six role, I think it would be best if he gets traded. We got Lekkerimäki coming up.

Oh come on man. Podkolzin isn’t Juolevi levels of bad. Yes he was drafted too early (thanks Jim), but I’d rather have him as a 4th line winger than another Juolevi.

He never should have played till he was more seasoned. He is not like Quins bro. He had skills to spare. They both should not have played the first year. Hughes was literally the deer in the headlights.. And all Podz gained was for naught after he got beat up. It was like he got scared and regressed lost his mojo and confidence.. Then later got knocked out badly from a check. in the AHL. We had no one to protect our young guys. One guy. But he can't be on the ice all the time. The team was so weak then. I had hopes for him and still do and have said before not everyone drafted high is a game changer.
