The distance between Leh and Nubra Valley is only about 125 kilometers. But due to the bad weather, snowfall, and traffic at Khardung La Pass, it took us 11 hours to complete the journey.
We started from Leh at 9 am and reached our guest house by 8 pm. The views however were great and the journey across a snow-covered Khardung La was fun.

Sir! Is baar bhi Agham wali Road bahut hi jyada kharab hai ... Hum Log apni Van(Omni-2004 Model) se Gaye the Ladakh ... sabse difficult Agham wala hi road laga Hamein to !!! Nice Video BTW ... Sir !!!

@@VargisKhan It was more than adventure ... kitni baar van se nikal dhakka dena pada ... Fir chahe Baralacha La ho ya Lachulung La ho ya fir Tsaga La ho ... Dhakka to almost Har mountain Pass pe dena pada tha ... but anyhow karke hum log almost Saari jagah dekh ke aaye hain.

Yahi adventure hai bhai .... aur 10 saal baad yahi yaad bhi rahega, yahi kahani bhi sabko sunaoge ke kaise har pass pe dhakka maar maarke Omni cross karvayi thi

A small suggestion. Pl tell the date of your journey at the beginning of the video. Many a times there is a timelag between shooting and posting. It helps users to understand road conditions better, as there is massive change from month to month

It is usually overrun by tourists in May-June. The rush starts to die down after July but it still feels a bit crowded until early September

Hi: I'm traveling to Leh in a weeks time to acclimate before cycling with a group from Leh to Shimla for the month ahead. I'm wondering is it difficult to get a pass to travel part way along this route? I'm thinking that we are arriving about 5 days ahead of the start of our tour and was wondering if we might consider pedaling part way up to the Khardung La Pass to help with our acclimatization as well as to get some spectacular views? How long does it take to get a pass and can cyclists gain access to the road?

Foreign nationals are required to work with a registered local travel agent and get the permit. It is not difficult to get but it is never issued to an individual. You must be in a group of at least 4-5 people to get the permit.

In peak tourist season, months of May and June, there will surely be heavy traffic
