While it isn't the fastest lens in the zoom category, it's a great go to lens in good lighting conditions, and beyond. Fascinating video involving a lens I'm considering purchasing, absolutely loved it. The picture of the bride with the window and mirror is just magical one of my fav ever images. Great idea to reduce clarity for highlight images. Many thanks, Rich.

Any reservations about using this lens on an Oly OMD EM5 II? (Obviously I wont get 2 lots of image stabilisation as when using a Panasonic body).

I love this lens. Its my go to outdoor run and gun lens. Every new lens I get, it gets compared to this one and I appreciate the 12-60mm even more. It's the one that lives on my camera. As a video dude, I find f2.8 is still too bright for outdoors even with ND filter, and not fast enough in low light. So I use it as a f4 video lens and it does well. When I need lower light, I got the Sigma for that.

Yeah great point.... I find the same thing at 2.8. I usually run it at f/4 with an ND and am very happy.

I’ve tried both the 12-35 f2.8 and the 12-60 2.8-4, and I think I like the Olympus 12-40 2.8 more. I get a constant aperture and a bit more reach compared to the 12-35. I’m willing to sacrifice the 40-60mm focal range for a constant 2.8.

Yeah... catch 22 for sure. I haven't worked with the OLY lens, but it sounds impressive.

Strangely enough, the Lumix 12-60mm is a bit more expensive than this Lica 12-60 (on Panasonic UK website) despite the Lica is superior in every aspect.
