Leica SL3 camera is the already out, and alot of people are just following and enjoying the new technology, but there are big different when and how to use it from time to time, this is when I explained sometimes we need new cameras and new feature, but the question is do we use it all, or we just keep demanding things cause others out there making it, and we want to see it on our luxury camera. Today, we lost alot of passionate photographers, cause of people these days are programmed what to say without even knowing what they talking about, cause they dont wanna make mistakes reading the files been put front of them, this is when passion is gone, and just a piece of technology remains as a gadget instead of an art piece.

Ramsey you are absolutely correct. I've been using Leica cameras ranging from the M to the SL series since the moon turned green. I enjoy my M and SL2. The only reason I upgraded from Leica SL to SL2 was for the 5-axis stabilization. The magic provided by the Leica lenses, rather than the Leica camera, is what appeals to me. I have no plans to shift to the SL 3. It's fascinating that what you're saying is common sense, yet people nowadays are easily swayed and occasionally need to be jolted back into reality. I am keeping the SL2 & SL2 S. Very happy with them. Not even tempted with the SL3. Not impressed with the gimmicky add ons. Wishing I could get my hands on a 601 and see the files, to find out what you and others love about it. First time I’m commenting on your videos. I appreciate your honesty and the way you deliver them. Thank you,

BTW there is a reason for the new power button on the SL3. It allows the camera to be turned on and off remotely.

I am keeping my Sl2-s love the image quality. I’m selling then Sl2 and upgrading to the Sl3 for the better auto focus. I don’t think there is anything wrong with technological improvements. But I understand what your are saying.

I still have my digital Cl and use for commercially and just for fun. No urge to change. I used to have the tl2 (want it back); the q, and SL. I prefer the ergonomics of the s5mark2, so I use this with Leica glass

Ramsey, thanks, loved the "transexual" thing comparing the new 3rd iteration to the original... I bought a couple of years ago a second hand 601. Loved it, but unfortunately not being a professional my budget is tight. And unfortunately I recently drop it and the battery got stuck inside. My Geneva Leica store sent it to repair... and advised me of a similar case... which repair cost was similar to the second hand price... What do we do when love is involved ? We lose our minds... waiting to face reality... :-(... :-))

New power button not a conventional switch……mixture external control operation device, might tarnished the outlook new SL3, because other external conventional parts/ components are 99.9% like SL601 & SL2, more represent German culture precision engineering…….the tilt screen is not fully embedded and not flush with rear camera surface (risky)……..that’s my observation. Anyway owned a SL601 and just bought a brand new SL2.
