and Fuchs and Morgan and Schmeichel and Drinkwater and Albrighton etc etc etc. thing is Kante and Mahrez brought something the team was missing and fit in very well with the team and their vision so they stand out but everyone was absolutely insane that season to be honest, if you removed any of the other bricks the structure wouldn't have been as solid and the team would have lost things that Mahrez and Kante might not have been able to make up for. This Leicester team won because they were a unit together and always had a plan and a vision that they never forsake even under pressure.

When Lewandowski scored his 5th goal in the space of 9 minutes and the commentator said "you can't do it... You can't be that good" that always reminded me of Vardy in 15/16, in particular his goals against Liverpool. Every time he shot, he seemed to score. Incredible.

You're owned by one of the richest families in Thailand who got preferential exclusivity contracts from the govt to run the duty-free stores in the country, and are very much part of sportswashing the reputation of a country that still jails and disappears people for criticising or insulting the govt or royal family and executes people for drugs offenses. People just notice or complain about it less than about the Saudis and UAE because they know less about Thailand. I love every bit of the Leicester fairytale sporting-wise, but I'm not going to pretend it came out of something totally wholesome.

Will likely never be equalled it really was a once in a lifetime once in a billion likehood of success and Leicester City miraculous managed to pull it off the EPL was created to prop up the rich not to create fairytale stories but Leicester ripped that all up by becoming champions in 2016 absolutely incredible.

I have lived in rural Andalucia (in Spain if your American) for 25 years. I am a life long Orient fan but for that season I was a rabid Leicester fan too. The farmers and shepherds in the local bar all thought I was from Leicester! The day Leicester received the Prem trophy they put the game on live, I was treated like a lord, never bought a drink all day/evening. I will never forget my Leicester year and I still want them to win every week even now.

I knew about them because of my bestfriend, we watched all their games that season together, he was so obsessed with Mahrez at the time, two years later he passed away to cancer, he was only 22, one day I will get them all to sign a Leicester shirt and put it on his grave. As a Chelsea fan that season we had was terrible. At one point 16th in the table, Jose unfortunately got axed, we brought in Guus Hiddink and fortunately he stabilized the ship somewhat and got us 10th. One happy point of the season though for me is that we are the team that handed the title to Leicester. We prevented our rivals Spurs from continuing their pursuit of the title and that's so sweet. That Eden Hazard knee slid in front of the Spurs fan was awesome. We the Champions from the season before crowned the new champions. That team of Leicester I don't think we'll see that sort of achievement in football ever again. Nothing compares to it

Nah sports itself was Miracle On Ice to break it down Leicester City were still professional footballers Miracle on ice was the 1980 Olympic ice hockey semi final America Vrs USSR pre game no one gave America a chance they were just a group of college kids facing the greatest ice hockey team ever assembled but as the name suggests Miracle On Ice they beat the USSR 4-3 and went on to win the gold medal the final minute of the game was insane with the commentary ending on one of sports most iconic lines " Do You Believs In Miracles "

The Foxes achieved this feat despite spending peanuts in comparison to the top half of the table. No one was even expecting Europa in 15/16. I like ice hockey, but terrible comparison.

Many times in Fifa I have managed a bottom half team and built a squad to win the league but always felt like this would never occur in real life. I would often start a new career mode looking up ways to make matches more challenging so I could finish in a more realistic league position. It's crazy to think Leicester did a season I felt could never happen in real life. To this day I still feel the same playing a career mode but that just shows how crazy this story is. I believe we will never see an underdog story like Leicester in any of our lifetimes if you're old enough to read this comment. What makes this story even more unbelievable is that Leicester are no longer a Premier League team 7 years after doing the impossible.

Leicester shocked the whole footballing world that year to go from on the brink of relegation in 2015 to being champions of England a year later! They did it against all the odds and that’s why we love football, the beautiful game. ❤

@@richardthompson8961 football has changed so much, a number of those players had played European football before and won trophies unlike Leicester’s team who largely hadn’t, also they had expensive buys like Peter Shilton and Trevor Francis who was the first £1 million player! As far as shocks go beating Malmo as favourites and being favourites in most other games they played just isn’t as much of a shock in any world. Great achievement but on that era much more likely than it is today.

Nah the craziest thing about that is the manager you had He literally managed a team to promotion, then won the league title, and back to back European cups, before winning another trophy almost a decade later. I think his name was Brian Clough? I know it’s not the same complexity as the modern day champions league (group stages, more opponents etc.), but it’s far too high a level for a promoted team and he still did it… TWICE And the job he had previously he was dismissed for slandering ppl too often 😂 who would’ve guessed that he was Alex Ferguson in disguise, in fact even better!

This is undoubtedly the best thing thats ever happened in Premier League, hell even world league football history. The only other moments that come close to this are Ageuro's goal for Man City to win the league and Drogba's equaliser against Bayern in the UCL final 2012, which Chelsea then won... in Munich. Sometimes football can be magic, just enjoy that you were alive to see it happen

We threw it away against the lesser teams. Lost to West brom and Swansea, drew with Sunderland nil nil. Leicester only lost 3 games that season and we beat them twice. Mad that Arteta was playing for arsenal then.

The greatest moments of my life getting to watch my club lift the Premier League trophy. Being in the stands for every home game. Playing West Ham at the KP 1-2 down. Ulloa steps up to take a 90+5 penalty, probably the most important goal in LCFC HISTORY. The goal went down as the 'earthquake goal' as tremours were recorded locally due to the celebrations. Magical time and something that will live with me for the rest of my life!
