People have always underestimated lemmys vocals ..bloke had a cracking rock n roll voice .no bollicks..just rough .in ya face ..what a frontman he was..but more than anything he was a real nice guy and in the fake world of fame They hard to come by .trust that ..never heard a bad word said about the guy

Lemmy's favourite music artist was Little Richard so how apt he did this great cover. Dave Grohl got a signed photo of Little Richard for Lem but he died before receiving it, Grohl left it on his coffin at his funeral. 😔

Music legends like Lemmy and Slash used to come into our local pub near Milton Keynes with Jim Marshall of amplifier fame. I remember sitting with a mate in the empty back bar and in walks Lemmy to play on the quiz machine. A very surreal experience! RIP Lemmy.

Observe that a bassist, in the background, is playing the classic rock/swing bassline. Lemmie is just playing on the ones, and concentrating on his terrific vocals.

@@richardtharris I think Lemmy deserves more credit than that. He plays bass like a guitarist and I think his sense of pulsating rhythm is what made Motorhead unique. It's not like he's Paul Chambers, but no one is.

Saw "The Head Cat" (Lemmy, Slim Jim Phantom and Danny B Harvey) at a small club with less than 100 people in 2010. One of the BEST shows I've ever seen. I was right up front with Lemmy on my left and SJF on my right. I could reach out and touch God...

Now that’s rock and roll 😁 Also a reference to Lemmy’s dislike of the term heavy metal as he always referred to Motorhead as a rock and roll band but despite that Motorhead also had a huge influence on punk and even saw Lemmy on stage with The Damned.
