"If they fail to see it \ Are they even human?" I think on further reflection this line here probably says more than any other line in the song. To make a demographic marketable is to homogenize the market, and to scrub that demo's space of people who can't be considered "marketable." If their idea "universal human experience" falls completely flat with you, then you need to be pushed out of that space so that they don't damage their brand identity by associating with you.
