It's an interesting point of view. We believe, we need to know and get consent from producers because it's the right thing to do. Picture this scenario: you randomly heard a melody that sounded similar to yours from an AI model. You have no way of ever proving that the AI company trained on your musical data, because AI models are hard to reverse engineer. Now all of a sudden, you have a company that is profiting off of your Intellectual Property (because AI needs your data to exist), and you have no idea about it. This is why our mission and our values are important. Because artists are being taken advantage of in ways that was never possible before AI became an established technology. Our job is to protect artists (that's who we are), AND advance the technology. So you can call it propaganda, but to us it's a core value of what we believe, and it's important to make noise about this topic before it's too late.

The main problem here is that the melody sounds similar to yours, ppl have been stealing melodies for god knows how long, you dont go about blaming the daw ued to easily recreate your melody do you..because its a tool! it is not a crime to borrow melodic ideas from melodies you like so long as your version isnt too similar to the original. Ai literally does samething humans do, u can train it to closely recreate something 1 to 1 or u can train it to use the data as a base nd recreate variants of said data which is what 99.99% of most ai's do. nothing unethical about using anyones melody as a base to generate ideas that soound like it, absoutely nothing.

I think they start from the principle that humans are capable of creating something new from nothing, whereas AI is not. But the reality is that humans don't create anything from anything either. from the void, it just simply improves things. The greatest composers did not start from nothing, they just improved certain things that were already existing. So yes I agree with you, it's a bit ridiculous this "ethics".@@afrosymphony8207​

The problem is not the AI, the problem is the human being and his evil, his deceitful ideas to cheat with anything. With the law, cheating is already done, so imagine anything deceptive possible when an AI learns the evils of a tamper who wants to be a musician by making variations of the entire discography of any great producer or of all the great published songs. If I inform the AI of my tastes with my record collections, I will make the AI cheat for me, make it believe that I am the one who has those tastes and those habits. Then I will be the same cheater who copied another artist when the AI was not there, do you understand where the mistake is? Yes, the human being does anything for money, the AI will not be a problem to make money without efforts, thanks to that human cheater who orders it and teaches it incorrect and unethical things.

Would love to understand why you think it's fake AI? We've trained models for over a years to get to the quality where it's. This is the CEO (MJ) - I've spent 5 years at Google and I've quit to pursuit this full-time (and so have a few other members of the team that are true AI scientists). Hi! This is MJ, the CEO - thanks for the comment. What I mean by saying this is, of course, our models are using AI algorithms - that is a big value proposition of the product, to have 'limitless' options through powerful AI models. When I say something about it 'not sounding algorithmic' - this is more of a musical explanation - the uniqueness of our AI is that it outputs generations that 'feel more human, and doesn't feel like an algorithm with 'simple robotic patterns'. I can see why you would be confused by this explanation and metaphor, so in the future I can try to communicate more clearly. Please understand, we are a small team and constantly making the product better each month, so while not everything is perfect, we are trying to build the best possible products every day.
