The duo of Sheena Ozzella and Alex Kerns have been writing and performing as Lemuria since 2004. They spent those first few years honing in their uplifting brand of punk rock before releasing the seminal debut "Get Better" in 2007. They stopped by the studio to perform songs both old and new in honor of that record's 10 year anniversary reissue. Check out the performance by Lemuria on Audiotree Live.

I saw them at a show at a local punk house, went for another band and was fucking blown away by them. The album I bought that night (and the other ones) have gotten so much play over the years. Thanks for blowing me away in Appleton, WI. Little gems like that make this shitty place tolerable sometimes. :)

Yeah the softly effortlessly bouncing between all the weird time signatures has always been one of the most mind-blowing part of this band haha

LEMURIA is hawaii... ancient hawaii. And the people of Mu are the original inhabitants of these islands. "The small people" were mostly killed off by the arriving polynesians, some were also absorbed into the polynesian society and their genes are a part of our lineage.

Yeah it's some sort of Gibson Les Paul. Could be a Les Paul Jr. Faded (if they even make those)

it's a Gibson Les Paul Firebrand, also called "the paul". gibson started making them in 1978, it's a mahogany body/neck. i have the SG version and they are total sleepers, usually have lo output T-top humbuckers, so they're less aggressive tonally but super articulate.

@@Rod1712 because it's obvious he knows nothing about the band and hardly bothered to do any research, he doesn't say their name right, he called their 10 year old record "get well" instead of "get better", and wasted time talking about Leo Dio because he had no real questions for them.
