When Lenart was very young he had a HUGE SOUND. He was playing exactly like Dexter Gordon and he had what you call "heartache" in his sound. But Lenart now is growing older and he's becoming a creative musician and a true artist. He's no more a Dexter's clone, He's looking for his own sound and his own voice but he has a lot of a different kind of soul in his sound. Unfortunatly some guys like you understand only what they know from the past.

Really nice job - lots of good phrases, and, as has been pointed out, a great, solid, rich tone. Bravo!

Hi Lennart, Very nice. I play along at my guitar on this video. I would very much like to hear and see you play 'prelude in blue'from Art Blakey and Barney Wilen. Do me a favour!

Hi, The mouthpiece (was - unfortunately) Otto Link Reso Chamber. The mouthpiece and the horn got stolen in 2008. I play Mark VI now with custom Dukoff mouthpiece D6.

Is that an old selmer super? Or is a Buescher or a Conn or something? I really dig the tone on that tenor.

Are you a Dexter fan! I could maybe tell by your tone, phrasing and the old 10M you are playing. I love the 10M. You are a great player. I wish I could play as well as you at your age, I'd be further now maybe. I enjoy everything about your style and playing!

Maybe you need to listen to more jazz, this guy is one of the best traditionalist on the net. He has enough soul to go around. Pretty notes are just that, life is both ugly and pretty, without one, there would not be the other. His tone is the most shaped I have heard, dark complex, emotional, that is my take!
@nedmanxxx16 жыл бұрын
sir,i wasnt commenting on the size of his sound.i spoke of the shape. he's got a fairly big sound.saxophone is king when it comes to shaping your sound and this fellow seems to be oblivious. comparing this kid to dexter!? get real. dont even go there

nice solo ...its a hard piece to improvise

i spoke of the shape- not the size of this fellows tenor sound. his sound is big enough-theres no contour there though-comparing this kids sound to dexters!?-dont even go there

It's supposed to be liad back like that. But you couold do it better eh?

slow down man. . . shape your tone . . .u need to make a concerted effort to play pretty . . .i hear no heartache in your vioce ,your tenor voice. that said i still think u play fairly well
