Okay, the first thing I have to say: usually Leningrad videos have really good English subtitles but in case with this one whoeverer did the translation had absolutely no idea what they were doing. It looks like they simply used Google Translate or something. The very first line, for example, says "Hello baby? I'm at my friend Irina's place" - not "I have Irki" :D Then, the phrase "it's purple" (actually violet, not purple) is a slang way to say "it doesn't matter" or "I don't care about it". So she goes: "The summer is over but it doesn't matter". As for Letov, he was one of the most legendary Russian garage punk rock artist and the line "everything is going according to plan" is a reference to his most popular song.

The party was probably her bachelorette party, not sure how common they are in either US or Russia in real life. The word on the wall I suspect is "совет да любовь", a traditional wish of "harmony and love" for the newlyweds.

Subtitles are god awful for this music video. Probably more confusing than to just listen to unknown language. Drunk parties before weddings are actually quite often, like, you're letting go of part of your life. Initial dialog goes pretty much like this: "Hi, baby"... "Yes, I'm at Irika's place"..."Yes, I'm already awake, baby".."What? It's Saturday already?".."Of course, I remember, I'm already in my car, I'll be there soon, everything is OK, baby". So her groom calls her to make sure she'll be in time at the wedding. One more thing. Words that everything is as planned is a tribute to Egor Letov like many other phrases from this song. It's a bit hard to explain, who he is, let's say he's Russian Kurt Cobain. Iconic figure, died young, expressed the soul of a generation.

The moment we see her arriving to the wedding we understand that the party in the beginning was her devichnik (from russian word 'deva' or 'devochka' - virgin or girl), a traditional russian prewedding party for bride and her friends, a symbol of the last day of her unmarried life. Along with malchishnik (from 'malchik' - a boy) - the same sort of party for the groom. For example, russian translation of The Hangover movie title is 'Malchishnik in Vegas', and this music video is kind of a girlish version of than movie

@@SakhForester а с чего бы - не было? только без алкоголя - думаю, там было больше сугубо бытовое, подготовка к будущей жизни в семье мужа, приготовление к венчанию .... и чтобы разбавить рутину обставлялось традиционными песнями, прощанием с незамужними подружками, косы те же переплетали с двух на одну.... чо уж беспамятный такой, что ли?))) запамятовал с новыми реалиями? 😀красиво же было... ритм, конечно, был размеренней, а радоваться умели, в т.ч. без горячительного

I love this video, absolutely political incorrect! The blonde fool girl on the wheel. Nobody sees the detail at the beginning, when she tries to open the car. She push the bottom but then the car is closed, she push again and open. The car was open all night! And she drives like no world around her, nothing is important except what she wants.
