Kaya yung mga Pinoy dito na binabash siya dahil tinake down niya ang Selos sa mga music streaming platforms. "Intellectual Property" niya ang ginamit na melody sa Selos. May karapatan siyang magreport ng "Copyright Infringment" dahil walang pahintulot ang producer ng kantang Selos na ginamit ang kanta niya para isang kantang nireleased nila sa mga music streaming platforms. 10 years ago, I loved this song despite not knowing its meaning. I enjoyed the way Lenka sang it, enjoyed the melody, just enjoyed the song in general. Now, this is the first time I've searched it here on youtube (youtube wasn't famous before and I listened to this through the cd). As I looked up for it, I just wanted to listen to it again, then I read the comments. "Cutest song about existensial crisis ever". After 10 years, I only understood the message of this song. It made the song a hundred, even a thousand, times better. I can relate to it as a college student who doesn't know her dreams, purpose, and passion. I'm just a potato, in layman's term. Now, this is my translation of the song: "I'm just a little girl lost in the moment I'm just a little bit caught in the middle" - This pertains to someone, who feels lost and doesn't know where to go and what to do, simply put, in an existensial crisis. "Life is a maze and love is a riddle I don't know where to go, can't do it alone I've tried and I don't know why" - Life is complicated. We cannot compare our lives to others. Though we may use theirs as a guide, our paths are still different. "Slow it down, make it stop or else my heart is going to pop" - This pertains to overwhelming emotions, when we feel lost we end up engulfed in our thoughts, emotions, morals, etc. "'Cause it's too much, yeah it's a lot to be something I'm not" - Sometimes in order to say that we are on top of our game, we tend to do become someone who isn't us. Someone who seems to be successful but isn't happy. "I'm a fool out of love 'cause I just can't get enough" - Sometimes we feel like a fool when we follow our hearts. We tend to think that it is worth it to stay but end up being left and broken. Sometimes we don't stay and still feel empty. "I'm just a little girl lost in the moment I'm so scared but I don't show it" - We've all been lost at one point in our lives. We feel hopeless and helpless. We may not know our passion, purpose, or dream. We feel terrified but we try to hide it. We keep it in ourselves. "I can't figure it out, it's bringing me down" - When it reaches its peak, when we think and think and not get the answer, we feel sad. "I know I've got to let it go and just enjoy the show" - When we feel lost and overwhelmed, sometimes the best solution is to just let it go. Enjoy the show and go with the flow. "The sun is hot in the sky just like a giant spotlight The people follow the signs and synchronize in time" - Sometimes our peers know their dreams, passion, purpose, etc. They have their own timeline in achieving those dreams. They follow these "signs" or their timelines. "It's a joke nobody knows, they've got a ticket to the show" - The ticket means their timeline, dreams, passion, and purpose, and the show pertains to life. "I want my money back, I want my money back and just enjoy the show" - Well, there are times that we invest time on something that we thought would be beneficial or would make us happy. This song makes me happy yet sad at the same time. Not just because of how nostalgic it is but how it literally describes my life right now. Hearing this song at 13 felt so catchy and fun. But now when listening to it at 25 felt so different because of how now i understand the lyrics and how relatable it is to my life right now. To be honest I feel really down with myself. I saw everyone around me already achieving something in their life. No matter if its in their career, relationship or something else. I felt like i was the only who still not achieving anything and still at the same spot from before. Its really depressing as seeing how am i getting older n older but still got nothing :(
