I met Lenny and the rest of RTF in 83' when I was just 17 at the Academy of Music in Philly after watching them perform the best concert of my entire life. My drum teacher was close friends with Stanley Clark who's from Philly and got us backstage passes. I'm 58 now and it's still one of my fondest memories. I'll never forget how Lenny was so humble and willing to talk to a young aspiring drummer. A class act and one of the GOATs.

Never knew they played the Academy. I always saw them at The Tower Theatre. I met Lenny a few times. Twice at the old Bijou Theatre & at a drum clinic in Jersey

Yeah Lenny is definitely a humble brother...I met him in the 90's when he was doing a lot of clinics in and around Manhattan...He even invited me to his home in NJ for private lessons....We still keep in touch to this day....

Who is playing Synthesizer and who is the guitarist? We all know how good the stars are but at least acknowledge the musicians
@guijazz70683 ай бұрын
Which guitarist?😉 it's stanley clarke on bass
@evanjazzista3 ай бұрын
That's actually a bass, the man playing it is named Stanely Clarke. Synthesizers were played by Gil Goldstein (left) and Pete Levin (right).
