Man, one thing I miss about the 90's, everybody was more open with each other, we all loved music and openly jammed out, didn't feel divided by bullshit, always meeting new people and having fun. Hard to explain how iconic and popular this song was when it came out. It blew up the airwaves, and the video was also legendary with its energy....it's a real rock video, showcasing the incredible talent in the group, and those crazy rockers jumping levels at the end - also legendary!

You didn't live the same 90's I did, mine was a school of hard knock where I litterally had to fight for my life because I was not like others; I'm on the autism spectrum. Harassment was daily and physical violence a few times a month. My school was a battlefield between metal and rap kids and they would beat each others with their skateboards and wallet chains just because they liked different music. It was brutal and anything but open.

@@MLCrow Like music as a whole. Rock. R & B. Rap. Metal. The music industry has killed itself. The only way to save real music is start from the group up...a real grassroots movement to bring music back to the people. To start we must provide schools with money for instruments. Centers in every city for people to play, learn and collaborate. Free shows in the parks, bands in the bars and clubs. And first and foremost, the absence of a few rich powerful dolts at the top determining what should and should be promoted.

Best Lenny song, yes! The riffs, the metronome drummer, the energy, the SOUND! Best listened to on headphones or a legit hi-fi system with the speakers far apart. If you've never done either, treat yourself. It's a trip! Loved this since the first time I heard it in my Dad's FC Rx7. He cranked it up, and redlined the rotary. At a time when classic hard rock/blues rock, tasteful guitar solos and Flying V's etc weren't popular, Lenny and his team come out with this. It was what classic rock fans needed in a landscape of grunge and alternative rock. rxp56 wasn’t overlooked then. In fact it was played almost too much. But now, when 90’s music is remembered, its overlooked for Seattle bands and the gin blossoms sounding bands that followed.

Could end up like the Blues Brothers movie: a bit underwhelming when released, did OK but nothing truly amazing. But with time, it became a cultural icon, elevated to legend status. I think this song is in that category - it will become iconic.

I'd agree with that. Great comment! The guitars are super clear! The bass also sounds great and it's just a well recorded song. I can't get over the guitar lead sound myself...the air waves compress and expand before his solo and his effects are just super subtle but evidently clear...it just takes each step and they got it right in letting it transition like it sounds as opposed to trying to smooth out the effects turning on and up. It sounds amazing! The drums too. Sounds like it was recorded in a high end music store after the instruments were tuned by a sound guy professionally...but..hey..who knows..if these payers are who they appear to be..it could just be them but..who knows...the studio or the stage..things can be deceptively good or bad...and when tuned electronically..well..you can bring up some real quality sounds..I really like this song alot and the guitarists got some respect here...they made these instruments sound amazing and real! That's really cool...and it was really different at the time of release as well so...very cool song and video and definitly a song for the future and today. When the hell was yesterday? I dunno but theres a middle and 2 futures...one with the MC5 velevelt underground beef heart zappa and all kinds of amazing music and another with Kravitz sound garden Metallica etc...theres always these middle grounds...the past becomes the future because it really belongs there...nothing can get old..it can only be cool and get handled again and again..thats whats what. I hope it all comes around again.
