For me yawn is for seungkwan and moonbin, it's like woozi wrote it while put his self in seungkwan shoes,especially when he wrote it while seungkwan is in hiatus.. it's like a letter that sengkwan would really wrote for moonbin.. binnie, you'll always be loved by everyone ❤ rest in piece binnie i love you❤

Yawn is song that woozi wrote for Seungkwan during his hiatus few month ago to comfort him after he lost his bestfriend, Moonbin. Just like how Woozi wrote Circle to comfort Wonwoo when he lost his mother. Seungkwan said Woozi sent this song to him first on his hiatus day and started cried just by reading the lyrics on verse 1.

I really really love this album especially SOS, Headliner and Monster. This album is a banger. We rarely seen this kind of genre in kpop. As a carat, i truly admit that I not really listen to this kind of sound but seventeen made me keep listening to all track😂 The vocal, rap and lyrics is amazing. Btw guys, that "slip into the diamond life" whisper in Diamond Days is from their old song "Shining Diamond" from predebut days, they brought it back! Kinda like "Seventeen right here" Edit: also, it's a song for carats/about being Seventeen, hence the title Diamond Days (like carats have diamonds) and as a callback to the predebut song. Also the lyrics are like "you sparkle", "you/we shine" and "you're familiar", and mentions promises and a ring on a finger (Seventeen has group rings since debut that they change every album, which signifies them being part of Seventeen). 😊

Yawn is definitely about and for Seungkwan. not only bcs the passing away of moonbin but more general this song is for Seungkwan himself. Seungkwan has been struggling since last year (exactly one year ago) cuz svt filmed their in the soop S2 around this time. even that time the members already suggest to him to take a break but his schedules getting more and more packed (concerts, caratland, fm, comeback, japan comeback, bss comeback, variety shows and music shows etc). and his condition reached its lowest point when his bff died 😢. when he decided to take a break I'm really" grateful cuz he deserves and need it 🫂
