Agreed, this is definitely one of the best new Chromebook Plus models. It's also important to point out that ChromeOS updates are rolled out *_monthly_* (not annually)!

I just bought one - and the only one available had an i5 processor. Cost a little more, but can't hurt. I also got a USI 2 stylus for painting with IbisPaint. Reallt great experience!

Really dig this channel because you seem to share my enthusiasm for 2 in 1 tablets. Ever since I saw the first Surface Pro 3 commercial. I couldn't afford the surface Pro 3 so I bought an Asus transformer tab at the time. Lol But now I still use Galaxy tab, Surface Pro, Lenovo duet...

I always appreciate you commenting on a lot of my stuff. I love 2 in 1 devices and 2 in 1 tablets for sure. Galaxy tab, Lenovo Duets, Chrome OS tablets, they are definitely my go-to's on this channel, I try to cover those, some high end phones, and some "good deal/budget" phones. But my bread and butter will always be the 2 in 1 tablets or detachable tablets

I bought this Chromebook after watching this video a few months ago and I am totally happy except with the battery life, I'm using it to transfer files from one thumb drive to another most of the time to prepare my music for DJ work and battery only stays alive for a few short hoursI don't know if I got a bad one out of the bunch but it's pretty much too late for an exchange now at Best Buy. But when it's plugged in, it really performs well.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yeah, normally battery life depends on what you do. And maybe if you're transferring a lot of files, it may drain things down a little bit. Not too sure. My battery life was pretty good. But I know there's so many factors with battery life. And different people could have completely different experiences. So thanks for sharing yours

This is one of the most exited review videos I've seen of this Chromebook. Hardly ever heard so often how good it is, and well priced. It sounds almost too overdone to be true.

Well it's definitely not sponsored 🤣🤣. I think if Lenovo sponsored this I'd legally have to let you know. I rated the good and the bad of the product. It does have a good screen, good performance, a good keyboard, and good port selection. But even in the video I do talk about the plastic build and I do even say the HP Chromebook x360 14c has a better build. If being positive means sponsored well I guess I'm positive about the product

I have one of these. Not sure my has a 2k display? its a 1920x1200 on mine I think. I have the northern europe version, that has a NVME PCIE 4.0 storage unit at 256GB, while I have seen th american version have EMMC drive. Mine have fingerprint sensor as standard, and also came with a Pen. The display is not that color accurate unfortunatly. Its a NTSC screen. Some models have a better screen with way better colors (think its 85% SRGB). I also have a Acer 714 (non plus) chrome. The 714 have a much better keyboard, that feels mechnical with small clicks when you type. The touchpad has gorilla glass which is soo smooth to use. The Lenovo on the other hand has a good touchpad, but its more resisitive since its just plastic, and the keyboard feels mushroomy to me, not terrible, but not as good as the Acer. Performance is stellar! it outbeats my Ryzen 5600x in my desktop in Browser benchmarks and you can feel it when you use it. Batterylife is no where near the claimed like 10hours.. I get around 5-6 hours of use. But no problem for me.

can we install windows 10 in it?
@AndroidDigest

No. And honestly at that point you might as well just go buy a Windows device. But people would have to make a bunch of drivers for it to work. It's possible but even if it somehow got working stuff would most likely be broken

I did but only for small things. I didn't replace chrome os. Just used the linux container I should say. Works okay for some apps but this isn't super powerful so can't run everything well

I think the windows gaming thing was an under sell. Yeah any new games need to run on GFN but with an i3-1315U you should be able to play a lot of lower end indie games and even older 2010 era AAA games on Steam in Linux.

There are models with AMD Ryzen also that has better igpu.
@MoChuang343
@MoChuang343 5 ай бұрын
@@AndrewTSq Yeah that too. Although I really wish there were more AMD Chromebooks. I usually dual boot Mint on my Chromebook, but I tried dual booting ChimeraOS to see if I could turn it into a Steam machine, but Intel and SteamOS just dont play as well together as AMD does.

I agree. A lot of my reviews are geared towards normal consumers and I was trying not to spend too much time on the obscure things you are able to do, like putting a bunch of commands in linux to download certain programs. It can be a game changer for some people. I think most modern games can't take advantage though. But older games, aaa games, this is a game changer, plus geforce now too.
@AndrewTSq
@AndrewTSq 4 ай бұрын
@@MoChuang343 "problem" with the i3 cpu is that you get old gen igpu with it also, the i5 version has xe-iris graphics which is a lot better, and almost on pair with AMDs lower offerings, but yeah I would not buy a chromebook to do gaming on even if its possible.

$500 Chromebook, you are buying a PC,, so you might as well buy a PC , get all the advantages of windows . you can get Chromebook plus, i3 cpu, 8GB / 128GB for the $250 mark,, you don't need to spend $500,,,, silly money

The problem with normal PC is you get Windows. Its a way slower operating system. The Chromebook also have Android, and Linux, so I have never felt I cant do something on the Chromebook. Want to develop android apps on Chromebook? Install Android SDK.. Want to develop games? Install Godot, Want to make music? install cubasis.. want to code? install VS Code.. want to make Arduino apps? install Arduino IDE. no never felt that I need my PC.

Yes and no. Remember that this device has been on sale at Best Buy for $350 and $380. And there's a lot of things that go into a device. The $250 Chromebook Plus models don't have touch screen, the screen quality is a lot worse, the brightness is worse, they feel a lot cheaper. Yes, they will do the work and be good and reliable, but for that extra $100 you will get touch screen, a backlit keyboard, a nicer 300 nit screen with a 2k resolution, and GREAT battery life, with a good build quality. That's a big big difference.
