I just read a reviews from the link of the DVD adapter on Amazon and all of them were just bad.. Is it working in your case properly? I just wanted to replace HDD, but you showed me a another, more budget friendly solution. And least i would like to ask which exact model do you have? Thank you very much for the answer

i have the same laptop and the problem is that all usb ports and camera stop working at the same time...it was a beep from the motherboard and black screen for few seconds,after that was working again,but with that problem

Is there space for a second ram stick, or does an upgrade have to be 1 x 16 stick?

As far as I remember this laptop has got 2 slots for Ram sticks.

I am considering if i need to reapply thermal paste after using it for 10 years, does it improve performance? I've never done anything like that so i don't know if and what to buy for paste, how much i need to apply and is it necessary to clean it with alcohol because i don't have that.

For thermal paste I tend to use Arctic and you definitely don't need a lot. Normally a small pea size is enough. It is recomended to reapply the paste after a while so that your CPU won't overheat.

@@TechGadgetsMedia Darnit, the main board of my G700 blew up and I was hoping I could upgrade it this way. For the eye they all look similar.

Probably not and i wouldn;t recommend it either.

This might be a weird question but what part is the GPU? It's supposed to be an Nvidia but I can't tell.

If you check in the video you can see where the copper runs through (heat pipe) there are two processing units, the smaller one should be the GPU

two screws on the corners and one under the battery..... you don't have to remove them ; )
