Regarding your question, the compatibility of the laptop with different storage options depends on the generation of the CPU. If your model has a 6th generation CPU or newer, you can install an NVMe drive up to 2TB without any issues. Additionally, you can also add a 2TB HDD or a 2.5" SSD alongside it. Furthermore, if you have a 6th gen or newer CPU, it is also compatible with Gen 4 NVMe drives. On the other hand, if your CPU is 5th generation or older, it can only support M.2 SATA drives up to 2TB. @@uFixTek my friend, I have another question. Regarding the RAM memory, my notebook has a processor Intel Core i5 6300HQ (2133MHz) and it has 8GB RAM DDR4 2133MHz. I believe this notebook has capacity for 16GB RAM. So I could add two RAM of 8GB each. Do they have to be DDR4 2133MHz as well? What are the best brands and models in the market? Do you know? Also, is the processor upgradeable? Mine has a core i5 6300HQ 2.3GHz

@@otaviopradoderesende7603 The CPU is soldered onto the board and is not upgradable, my friend. Regarding the RAM, if you have an 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM, simply get another RAM with 2666MHz and place it in there. The BIOS will automatically adjust. The recommended, stable, and reliable RAM is amzn.to/43uuJZM . You could also get a brand new 2x8GB pack, but it will be the same. On Intel CPUs, RAM speed is not as important as it is on AMD CPUs, where RAM speed is crucial for performance. Lenovo Ideapad Y700 17Isk 80Q0 only supports 512 GB for the SSD NVME/M2, not 1T, not 2T.

don't know who told you that, when we upgrade this models to 1TB and 2TB without any issues for our clients! and install windows and everything smooth. this is a PCI-E lane
