good job in benchmarking the games. you took the time to actually do a quick playthrough rather than using the in-game banchmarking option. except for some titles.

Probably the reason why you get around 60fps is because there is some settings that is unnecessary and wouldn’t really affect the visuals but take up a lot of fps. You should be getting around 90fps constantly Edit:(sorry I forgot to add that I’m referring to gta v only)

True, even in Valorant he;s using MSAA 4x which is totally unnoticeable on a screen like the one on the Legion. We'd get way more FPS without such settings turned on

@@smaronboruah on valorant you're always going to be cpu bound if you have a moderately strong gpu so you'd get the same fps with msaa off vs msaa at max.

Thinking of buying one, but my main question is about the cooling system. One of the games I play sims 4 is really intensive and sends core temps through the roof. Would this laptops cooling system keep it low enough?. As the others it seems to run at 80/90c and the laptops are always seriously hot to touch. If this one isn’t, do you have any recommendations please?. Thanks

Legion has one of the better cooling systems out there if not the best. However the CPU can still reach more than 90 degrees in some games but doesn't throttle. I don't think Sims4 a game from 2014 will get the laptop too hot. New games are far more intensive which run without getting the laptop too hot to touch.

I never play games on my laptop without charging. I have limited the battery to 60% charge. I have only used the laptop without charging when I take my laptop outside. After 1 year , my battery cycle count is still 57 only.

I wish I could get this. My budget didn't scretch that much & got RTX 3060 - 95w TGP Asus tuf F15. But , still did good. Except AC Valhalla. I like to keep it to Ultra so it was dipping 38 fps. 🙄

I am using an external monitor which is 144hz. Laptop's screen is 165hz. It is 15.6 inch. The wifi card is Realtek RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter . I am not aware of any bugs on optimus.

Bhai thermals and performance wise i think its the best. You get full performance of cpu and gpu. No thermal throttling . No power limit throttling.

Depends on the game, For me valorant on low graphics uses like 40% of gpu. While apex legends uses 80-100%. If all games are showing low gpu usage, 1. Make sure you are using laptop on perfomance mode with power supply connected. 2. Try Setting power management mode to Prefer maximum performance in nvidia control panel. If it doesnt work then, 3. Reinstalling drivers using DDU. If nothing works then maybe it is faulty and get it repaired.

I just bought this laptop on sale for £1010, after my trusty MSI laptop stopped detecting my battery (Swapped battery 8 months ago, and the battery has the correct voltage etc.). Thought I'd cash in on a deal, rather than send mine in to be fixed, not knowing how much I'd have to pay.

Bro 8gb of 3070 will really help u in playing games at ultra textures settings. 3060 ka 6 gb bohot games ki max graphics ke liye kam pad jata hai. But aap baki performance and specs bhi consider karlena. i dont know kuch about nitro 5.

good test, I have the same temperatures fps and frequency. I suggest you to switch off turbo boost on cpu, it can drop temperature of cpu to 75* with no effect on FPS

How do you keep your laptop? You should use a cooling pad or lift your laptop from behind by keeping a book below it so that it is lifted up creating better air flow.

I'm having problems with temps now after 9 months, gpu after 5 min of gameplay goes up to 86 c (the max) and starts reducing gpu clocks

@@zirzob Just cleaned it, didn't change the termal paste tho. This also could be caused by the high temperatures here im Portugal reaching 43 c. Will try to buy a cooling pad and change the thermal paste then i give some feedback.

Hey man, Im receiving the same one in about 2 weeks. Could you help me with how much big of a difference there is between the FPS of the games covered in the video

@@unnatdave5709 after the 3060 the difference start being below 15% Mainly depends on the cpu. The biggest difference I’ve seen is the 3050 to 3060 and I believe it’s about a 50% difference.

@@funkykat9890 yes I noticed this thing as well. Maybe the games right now do not need those extra cores and the 2gb extra vram but in future I hope it will.

@@unnatdave5709 I think laptops just don’t need to be that powerful. Most 3070/80s are heavy as crap from what I’ve heard. 3060 is the best for money/game performance and portability. I have a 3060 laptop and I plan on keeping it then just getting a desktop.

@@funkykat9890 I agree but there are many laptops which offer 3060 as well as 3070 variants so, youre getting a more powerful laptop without it being as heavy as laptops which are specifically made heavy for higher end graphics cards

@@umakantsharma1757 make sure you are using hardware nvenc (new) as encoder. And dont set your bitrate very high. I set it 9000 with CBR for 1080p

I think thats a problem with videos recorded with shadow play. I saw no stutter while i was recording the videos. However when i see the videos they dont look as smooth and colourful.

@@dhruv6113 I think this is because of the end result on youtube after their compression. This is definitely not the true representation as compared to how you might have played it.

It's because the refresh rate of the video is not matching the real time refresh rate so you are seeing missing frames which makes it look choppy.
