The task manager displays RAM bus of 4800MHz because the i5 13500HX only supports DDR5 4800 at maximum. You can confirm it at Intel CPU specs sites. This thing happens on i7 versions also except for the i9 version.

I've noticed that your device also has the short left shift, same as my Legion 5 Pro 2021 because I have Slovak keyboard loadout. After 14 months of use, it just started to annoy me now :DD I have never used the key that would originally be the right half of the shift button. Also, pictures from the shop I got it from were US versions with the long left shift... nevermind. Great review though!

Great review again! Thank you for taking BF2042 in your test, this game is good indication for cpu performance as this game is very cpu but also gpu heavy!

Great review, I just saw this today as I had my Lenovo Y700 cleaned. Guess what? My Y700 speakers sound better and louder than the newest and latest Lenovo laptops. I was surprised. I want to get my new one with Windows 10 for sure. I like that it is heavies and thicker for better airflow and space.

This is an absolute beast for an affordable price. The only downside is the lack of thunderbolt which every laptops havein modern days.

Always appreciate your reviews and analysis.🙏 To me, in 2023, with only 6GB of vram, any RTX 4050 laptop isn't worth consideration. It will reach a vram limit very fast.

In my opinion it's absolutely acceptable on a 16 inch screen! In some games I barely couldn't tell the difference. Especially while gaming and beeing distracted.

I knew from the second I heard your voice and saw you that you're German 😁😁. The amd version of it is on sale for 889€ but idk if it’s worth the money. I dont need the 4060 as I don’t want to play the newest aaa games. What bothers me (just 1st world problems) is that the german amd version only has a white backlight and not the rgb version.

Just a doubt, I'm looking at a Legion 5 Pro(2021) with Ryzen 7 5800H, 32GB of DDR4 ram, 1Tb SSD(I guess its a Gen 4 one) and an RTX 3070 with 140W max TGP. Its up against the new Legion Slim 5 with Ryzen 7 7840 HS, 16Gb of DDR5, 512 Gb ssd and an rtx 4050. My main priority is to have a device that'll handle anything I throw at it for years to come. I fear the Ryzen 7 5800H is an old processor at this point and for the price, it feels outdated.. Which should I pick here?

If "for years to come" is your priority? Probably none of these. Also depends on what you throw at it. CPUs always become a bottleneck at some point for Laptops.

@@Hubwood well, I'm more of a casual gamer. I just want the machine to be able to run the stuff without any issues or hiccups or lags. The rtx 4050 and all the 4000 series cards lack performance with is compensated with frame generation, but I'm afraid if the lack of performance and actual cuda cores in the 4000 series cards might hinder performance in the long run, considering that these 4000 series laptops have way less cuda and tensor cores than the 3000 series.

@@McnugGetsomebicthes Impossible to say if it will tun everything in 5 years. Surely not on higher settings. Medium to low? Most likely. But the better could really help then tbh. If the GPU is the bottleneck you can lower the settings. If the cpu is the bottleneck, you're f***ed 😬

To be honest even recent games like Warzone, hogwarts legacy or The last of us benefit from more than 16gb...so 32gb will be helpful in more and more games.

I bought this laptop legion 5i pro Intel core i7 gen 8. The promlem is that the charge last 2hour and 40minute on time saver mode. And about 1 hour and 20 minutes on balanced With our using dgpu. Does the problem is with my laptop or at all same laptops?

I7 gen 8? So it's like 5 years old? The battery is most likely not powerful enough anymore. It looses capacity over the years.

I have this exact laptop someone tell me have to save battery life? I love the laptop I hate the battery. On the charger the laptop is very very good in every way besides the fan even tho isn’t to loud but you can hear it. . I take my kids to the park my daughter plays and I put bluey and bingo on for my 1 year old. Batter dies way way to fast. Full charge I get about 2hrs10min on full charge with no back light on battery saver on. Brightness on the low side . I still only get 2hrs40min if I’m lucky. The battery life is terrible

If you are gaming on a laptop on battery, it will always drain very fast. There is nothing you can do and no laptop will last long. What you can do is to cap the fps at 30, reduce the graphics, lower the display brightness, deactivate wifi, enter the low power mode if the laptop offers one, activate battery saving, close all background programs, and maybe the you'll get some extra time.

I've mentioned, that the laptop has noticable "coil whine" when you're getting high fps in games or like an an I game menu.

@@Hubwood Had to Google that. Putting this below for anyone else looking for it. Coil whine is the result of electronic components vibrating at specific frequencies when current flows through these components, resulting in an audible tone that can be perceptible to the human ear. P.S: Linus has a decade old video on it.
