This flagship device really satisfies an insignificant niche which is its screen size along with the iPad mini. The last time a tablet similar to this existed was like almost 3 years ago, the Mediapad M6 8.4 so I'm glad Lenovo made this.

I definitely want to see this tablet going Global. It is refreshing to see a flagship-grade Android tablet with a headphone jack. I also love the fact that Lenovo can give USB-C 3.1 with video output and PC Mode to this mini tablet. I am definitely more than happy to take this tablet over the iPad mini.

😍 This is the perfect size and power for someone who wants a mobile gaming solution. Handheld/mobile gaming has me excited for the future even if most mobile games are the bottom of the barrel. It still has a lot of potential for real games.

Was think about the OPPO pad, but it does not support USB 3.1 to HDMI out, plus no sdcard expansion. The Y700 is small but large by just pluggin it in your monitor. Portable, fast charging, high performance, it ticks all the buttons. Getting this next month.

Thanks for the review! Any details about the USB C display output? The video says it supports, it but no details provided (e.g. does it use DP? what version and max resolution and refresh rate? or thunderbolt?)

A full-featured USB-C to USB-C (thunderbolt is OK with a full-feature USB-C Cable) is needed. A usb-c to HDMI cable is fine too.

I love the concept, we need more actual TABLETS, not those oversized slates that no one can actually hold like the Garbage Tab S7, or iPad Pro. The screen looks *really* dim though. Did you have the brightness down? It looked far darker than the AMOLED-using XiaoXin tablet which is odd since AMOLED is a horrifically dark format typically.

Great device for gaming. Screen size is great for that with a decent telescoping controller. I'd love to see some emulation tests for Wii, PS2 and perhaps Switch/3DS though in addition to normal Android gaming. Global ROM would also be nice so hopefully Lenovo will bring the tablet West.

I have a Shield K1 tablet and love it. A great size for gaming tablt. And it did fit in my pocket. However newer androids and games can't run. I kept hoping there would be a next Shield but that isn't gonna happen. Thanks Nintendo. Ended up getting a Tab S7. The most powerful Android tablet at the time. Wish this had been around. Although is there pen support? Cause that was also a factor for me.

@@riduwanhorreandriano9364 I avoided updates because of that. Rooted unlocked and all that. Tried a couple times. But always resented it back to release. Every single updated messed something different. And the battery gets destroyed with newer Androids. Even vanilla.

@@riduwanhorreandriano9364 haven't really used it in a while since the main games I play won't support old Android device. And it really works well with the 5.1.1 (I believe) that it came out with. Plus I dropped it and cracked the screen. Speaking of which. I always loved how the screen of that worked. Pretty much any pointy object worked. I got most of my info from XDA sevelopers forums and software use the one provided by nvidia itself. Then decide what to block, disable or remove. And had to run much at knower res or kimmiting the cores it uses. Many apps worked better when set to only 2.

I'm getting one. It's the ONLY 8 incher with similar specced screen. There's a ton of options in the 10+ inch roster but I wanted something more portable + suitable for reading in bed. iPad mini just pales in comparison not to mention the widespread jelly scroll issue.

Not as portable. But if I'm going for a larger tablet anyways, I'd rather go for the Lenovo Pad Pro 11. PC Mode and video out, expandable storage. Not a gamer, so productivity is more important for me. OLED doesn't hurt as well.

@@tomharris7689 Not active stylus. Already bought the Lenovo P11 Pro and a second hand Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lite since I posted this. I hate the P11 Pro's touch response when it's propped on a desk (no problem when held, though) and I hate the in-screen fingerprint sensor on the Note 10 lite, but at least both supports active stylus input and that's what matters in my line of work.

most android flagship could play genshin impact with phone cooler, around $10 - $15 dollar for peltier phone cooler (not the fan only variant). black shark fun cooler is way better than buying new gadget, play highest setting in genshin impact (i'm using s20+ exynos btw, hot like clothes iron while gaming), idk for multi tasking dex though, haven't try it. always closed down windows like chrome and zoom because it's too hot.

This is the best tablet period its nutz how few flagship 8" tablets are on the market these days. Idk why these companies feel compelled to make giant tablets when nobody wants them. They mega unwieldy & Honestly headphone jack itself is a $1000+ feature~

Right!? I like my Samsung S6 Lite mostly for drawing but I can barely use it on my bed since it is so big. I couldn't imagine the S8 Tab lineup, especially the Ultra.

Hey , I’m curios if the tablet includes a software/app for gaming that features a MACRO MOD ? asus has the GAME GENIE app that works only on asus . If it doesn’t feature such advantage of an softw./app then it shouldn’t even be called ann gaming device.

Legion claims it features 240Hz touch sampling (around 4 miliseconds response time). Not actually test it yet but it did feel faster than most Andorid tablets.
