I heard it has a Widevine Level 1, so all the official streaming services should be providing FHD a.k.a 1080p resolution, but Amazon Prime Video provides this tablet only with 720p resolution. Is this true?

I've never seen a OLED tablet with 120 Hertz and really good performance for that price. This is by far the best value out there. By a country mile. The only thing that has helped me back from wanting it myself permanently. It's just a fingerprint sensor not being there in the US. That's the only real downside I've seen. Otherwise, it gives you nearly flagship performance with 120 Hertz and OLED for barely over 200 bucks. You don't even get OLED in the tab S8

@@adil222100 I got the 4GB model and the only downside I'm noticing is occasionally the OS will lag a bit, and I'll have some frame drops when emulating PS1 games (which can probably be configured better to not happen). For me, I'm thinking OS lag is only noticeable since the refresh rate of the screen is so high

Fantastic work as usual Zach! This is a great alternative to Samsung tablets. Yes it is a step behind, but the value far outweighs that. The fingerprint sensor is nowhere near as important on a tablet as it is for a phone, since a tablet rarely leaves the house.

I upgraded from a Samsung Tab 8 (3/32GB) with S pen to the Lenovo (6/128GB). With keyboard, case and pen it cost $350. Good value. The screen is great, the keyboard feels great too but the case that comes with it is really heavy. There are some serious issues with the software. The tab itself is light but feels slippery as does the pen so I got a regular case for it.

How would this compare with the Duet 5, which you really liked in your 6 month review, if I'm not going to use it for gaming but occasionally might edit some 1080 video? The Tab is a little bit more, price wise, when you throw in a keyboard (and it's hard to get the keyboard from Lenovo right now). Will the bigger-screened Duet 5 be similar or are the speakers that much better for watching Netflix on the Tab? Thoughts? Thanks.
@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest Жыл бұрын
Tricky. Honestly I think this Tab may handle video editing a little better then the Duet. Mainly because Chrome OS is still a little finnicky with some Android apps.. And the Duet may feel equally as fast if not faster but in reality it's actually slightly less powerful. In the end, it's a tough call. The Duet is more versatile. It runs Android apps and a full desktop version of Chrome. If an Android app isn't optimized great (sometimes Android apps aren't as good on a Chromebook) you have the flexibility to create a web shortcut and it will put that shortcut in your app drawer. So you can create web apps or use Android apps. It also works a little bit better for keyboard work and the laptop environment is very useful for productivity. And it gets 8 years of OS updates from the day the tablet released, give or take. On the other hand, the tablet will do a little bit better with Android apps and in a lot of ways it will be simpler. You can just add your favorite apps to the home screen and open things up immediately without having to deal with an app drawer. It will also be a little bit speedier for some lighter stuff and I think something like video editing will work slightly better. In some ways it's slightly less flexible, but it's also simpler, a little easier to use since you only have one option, And it works pretty well.. On a side note, I am planning to sell my personal p11 pro gen 2. I often sell items on Twitter (twitter.com/digestandroid ) and I plan to sell to someone in the US for like $250. It's in mint condition. I just move on from devices after my review. If you're interested you can dm me on Twitter

No. Built-in kickstand. There's a regular Lenovo book cover case. A a case that you put the tablet in and flip the book cover over the top. The part that flips over the screen can magnetize to the back of the case to hold it up

Hello, I loved the review. I'm going to buy the p11 gen2 shortly. In my country, it's over 430, but I found an offer that leaves it at 360. I was looking for a tablet to work. I'm a student who doesn't get along very well with conventional laptops. and I wanted to know your opinion about how this tablet adapts in general to perform tasks, jobs that involve a little more performance and such
@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest Жыл бұрын
I mean it depends on what you're doing. Compared to other Android tablets this is the step below the highest end flagship tablets. But it's honestly faster than most of the mid-range tablets out there. So it does have pretty good performance. You might want to get the 6 GB of RAM model just in case. But it's s good tablet. Hard to say if it's powerful enough without knowing exactly what you do. Even then I don't specialize in everything so still may be unsure

@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest 8 ай бұрын
Basically this tablet will be better. In most things. It will be faster, it will have a better screen, and a better refresh rate. But the Samsung has a little bit of extra longevity, mainly because it has more software updates. In Lenovo is known to not update their devices very much. So it's a really tough call, depends on what you value. I'd probably lean towards the Lenovo because it's better all around. But everyone is different. And some people may just prefer the software updates, and some people like Samsung dex an extra thing for multitasking. But it depends on who you are. Like I said. I'd probably lean towards the Lenovo but just barely

Feel free to read the other comments below. I gave info there. As far as insurance, that is really up to the person. Each device comes with a one-year warranty, so if anything happens within that year you are covered by sending the device into lenovo. It does involve a waiting period, but they should take care of you, even if they send you a refurbished model back. I personally think most insurances aren't worth it. If you get a tempered glass screen protector and a case, you will avoid most physical damage. At that point you are just paying for insurance for minor defects, and those things rarely happen especially within the first few years anyway. Even if something did, sometimes you can pay a small amount to get it fixed. And sometimes it's almost cheaper to do it that way versus paying insurance. If you ever buy a device on eBay though, if you buy from a seller with at least 99% which is what I recommend, they do have a square trade warranty and that can actually be worth it. Sometimes it's only like $20 to add it on and they may cover your device for two or three years. And square trade (it's through allstate) is really good. They normally get everything taken care of within a week, sometimes they give you a refund of some kind.. Overall it's a good program. That's a good insurance. But nine times out of 10, people sell you insurance because obviously they are making more money in the long run. I say just get a good case and a screen protector. it won't always work out in your favor but I think most of the time it will

@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest Жыл бұрын
Yes. It's worth the $120 difference. I'm with you though. I've been there with OLED. I used to prefer the Tab S7 (no OLED) because it was such a small difference to me compared to the OLED Tab S7 Plus. But the things that set the P11 Pro Gen 2 apart: Better software support. It releases on newer software and is supposed to get more software support. 120hz. So the screen refreshes faster making everything feel smoother. A faster processor, so everything feels smoother, AND a better looking display. Add it all and to me it's well worth the $100. Some people would pay $100 just for OLED. Or just for 120hz. Add it all together and I think it's worth it. Now I say this as a value seeker. I'm very happy to recommend cheaper devices. For many people I'll recommend the Tab S8 over the Tab S8 Plus. But in this case there's a lot of value for that $120. If you can swing it I'd recommend it. Don't forget to check the used market too. You never know. I'm getting rid of mine shortly, as I need to cycle through other devices to review, so you may find a good deal there also. Maybe. Depending.

When comparing this to the tab s6 light I would say yes it's a clear winner because OLED screen 120 Hertz plus I don't know the the spec sheet but the companion 1300 I think that's what it has If that's similar to the 865 then I don't know again I'm pretty sure it's better than the Snapdragon 720g It has similar specs so 4 GB of RAM that's the only thing that's really a turn off but at that price at $299 you can't go wrong so yes I would agree I never actually saw this deal so that's pretty cool so this is pretty much tab S7 but with OLED and then if you get it with the the pen and the keyboard I think it's still cheaper than the tab S7 was when it released so not a bad deal

Question. I need a tablet for watching NFL, KZfaq, some games. But not a heavy gamer at all. I don't need an s pen. I just want something snappy that will stream without lag. I'm not a heavy user but I would use it for social media daily. Would you say this is a good choice over the s6 lite? It's on sale for 219 right now. I am just scared of trying a new brand because I've had good luck with Samsung. Oh, and I need a big screen as I'm a big guy and hate the small screens...
@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest Жыл бұрын
I mean this is a 11 inch screen. That's the big thing. The S6 lite is a little over 10 in. But tablets like the tab S8 Plus or the tab S7FE, they are over 12 in. So this isn't the biggest tablet or the smallest. But this tablet would absolutely be perfect for what you need. It would be great for streaming and it would be very snappy without lag

Posting comments is a real pain in the arse. I've had to use my Tab 8 to post these comments. 1. Every time I want to write a comment it asks me which input device I want to use 2. The post arrow on the right often disappears and sometimes the whole comment goes into the ether. 3. I miss the bar on the bottom which allowed me to open another app, step back or view all apps open at the time. This has to achieved by swiping left or up many times to get back to the home page. 4. I was looking forward to the split screen function but to use it you have to open the apps you want to use then get back to the home page then swipe upwards with some pressure to see all the apps currently running. From there it's simple enough. Android 12 is not reckoned to be optimised for a large screen and this is supposed to be improved with the release of version 12L but I'm not holding my breath.

The first one is global (you've seen it in this video) and it has mediatec 1300t. This version doesn't have fingerprint. But another version for chinese market has it. Chinese version also has snapdragon 870 (and 90hz vs 120 on the model you've seen in this video). On the one hand you'll get better screen with 120 hz, but on the other hand you won't get better perfomance. In Russia we buy this tablet in AliExpress, you can check it out there if you want version with fingerprint.

It's really really hard for me to say. If you go the windows route, and get the Lenovo duet 5i, which I saw on sale by the way for a really cheap especially if you get it open box. You can get it under $500. It will definitely have the best speed you're going to get for that price. It will be better at productivity and it will even be able to run some windows games. In short it's definitely a better laptop. If you go to tablet mode, just keep in mind that Android apps aren't really much of a thing on Windows. Sure you have a few apps from the Windows store via the Amazon app store, but not much. So to make it easier for yourself you might create a bunch of shortcuts from Google Chrome and put them on your desktop. You could do that for pretty much every streaming service and it will work great. Despite all of that though I would say that a really good Android tablet like the Galaxy tab S8, it will probably be a little bit better at tablet stuff. You will get a 120hz screen. It's a little quicker and easier to get basic entertainment stuff going. So if you want the best tablet overall I would say the Tab S8 or this P11 Pro Gen 2 are your best bets. The best laptop with good tablet functionality will be the Duet 5i. As of right now there's not enough power in the Chrome OS tablets that are out. They could still be a little bit laggy and they still have some issues with Android app optimization. I typically just use web shortcuts for most things to avoid that issue. But even then there's weird things like the keyboard for the touch screen blinking when pressing the spacebar sometimes. The point I'm trying to make is, I would either go with the duet 5i, the tab s8 (or s8 plus) which will run between $450 and $600ish used on eBay/Swappa. Or the Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2. The negatives of the P11 Pro are mainly software related. It feels slightly less smooth than a Galaxy the productivity mode isn't quite as good as Samsung Dex. And I think they are giving like two software updates to it but you aren't going to get super long software support like a Tab S8. But you will get the OLED screen and you will get 120 hertz. And you will still get really good performance and you will save some good money. So yeah. It's really hard for me to tell you what to do. I think you would be really satisfied with most of these options. But all of them have small shortcomings.

Rubbish? This is close to SD865...and it's stable (far more than 888 or 8 Gen 1!). This runs Wild Life stress test with a score of 4277pts and a stability of 98.2%...it's nearly the same as Galaxy Tab S7 with its SD865+ (4234pts 99%), no Amoled and still more expensive! SD888 on Galaxy S21 runs with a score of 5316 and horrible 67% stability...in less than 10 minutes, score falls under 4000! Yes, After few minutes, Kompanio runs better! 888 was rubbish : promised performances but not able to sustain! This Kompanio runs games like Genshin Impact with highest settings. And if you want something futureproof for streaming, you even already have hardware AV1 decoder that Qualcomm introduced only last month on 8 Gen 2... In my opinion, P11 Pro Gen 2 is one of the best Tab released in 2022...

@AndroidDigest
@AndroidDigest Жыл бұрын
I get the comparison in a way, and I fully get why you wouldn't like it. To be honest in your shoes I'd say the same. But this is also like $250. For an OLED screen. The S5e actually had pretty severe wifi issues, I documented on my channel when it was older. But holding the tablet in the corner caused wifi to drop 20% to 50%. And I had that issue with like 4-5 units. Not a single unit didn't have the issue, even best buy display units. So thin tablets have a cost. In the end though, Samsung has the best OLED around. Super amoled screens are great. Samsung software is also more polished. The P11 Pro Gen 2 is a great value. But it's just that, a value tablet still with some compromise. The Tab S7+ will have the nicer oled, with 120hz, better software and speed. Just keep in mind it's about to stop getting full OS updates. But other than that it's terrific. You will love it, a great choice
