@@Dammiiann well, its a power efficient mb, i have it in my ovn pc that i made by buying the same pc he tore down and install a new gpu there same as a new case (krux trek very good airflow) new power supply and a new spu cooler (aio)

I knew nothing about computer but got two broken m92p in hand. Through your video I learned the composition of a pc and was able to sort out the broken components and fix them. I have this same desktop. I successfully maxed out the ram with DIMM's from Microcenter. I purchased an Inland SSD several months ago and I could not get the computer to recognize it at all. I returned the SSD and left the computer along for several months. I've since picked up a new SSD on the change that the one I purchased previously was faulty. Hopefully the one I'm about to install be recognized by the computer.

HI, yes it is for case and direction of airflow. Fan shrouds are passive air-flow improvement devices.

Please Note: the cable he disconnects at the 8:55min mark is the THERMAL SENSOR. You will need that, if you are ever moving the motherboard to a different case. If you don't your CPU will throttle wildly and your fan will go all sorts of weird things.

Moved an M91P into a new case but having a problem with the CPU fan throttling to 100% most of the time. Found out it's that little last cable. Is that the Thermal Sensor? And how would you install that into a new case? Would it just lay inside? Thanks.

I just transferred the innards of a Lenovo M91 to a Thermaltake case (for more space) and yes. that IS the thermal sensor, you do need to take it and move it over to any new case. You don't have to mount it in any particular spot (though ideally closer to the CPU would be more ideal)
