"Born and raised in Sweden, Jonas is a fantastic on-camera host as well as a brilliant all-round filmmaker. We’re thrilled to have him as an UPROAR ‘Lens in the Wild’.
Having had a passion for science and adventure from a young age, Jonas began his scientific career in Marine Biology earning a Bachelor of Science from James Cook University, Australia, and later continued to earn a Masters Degree from University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
Jonas always tries to see things from a positive angle and loves taking on new challenges. Whilst traveling, he started documenting the world through still photographs, which soon turned into documentary filmmaking. Nowadays using the camera as a working tool, his life mission and dedication is to attempt to create a better understanding of the natural world we live in by inspirational and eye-opening story-telling.
Jonas has always loved outdoor adventures and sports. The main activities on his agenda involve rock climbing, scuba diving, skydiving, hang gliding, mountain biking, skiing, wakeboarding, and combining several of these in multi-sport adventure racing.
“Over the years I have been fortunate to be able to take my interest in science and biology all over the world. The more I see, the more I understand, and the more I understand the more I want to see. It is a never ending good cycle, and with every step you uncover a new story and start to realise how much in the world that is actually connected. I encourage everyone to do the same. Go out and explore, but remember to do it right. Make sure you give the generations to come the same chance to see and experience everything we can. Explore, not exploit.”"
